Lucy Lutterbie is licensed therapist in Fredericksburg Virginia who pretends also to have a law degree. She is conducting her bad practice at home, while she asks always for CASH ONLY and UPFRONT. She never gives a receipt for the cash and does not allow the patients to bring anything in the room to take notes or record during the meetings. In her introductory meeting, the patients are instructed on her money paying policy and also she makes sure she puts to their attention she is also a law graduate and she will come after them in court in case her onorary is not given and she will make sure she will get paid for her attoney fees as well. By the way she acts before and during counseling meetings, she shows a high interest for the money only and tends to side with the wealthier party and draw conclusions and make recommendation for court for the party that she can get more benefits from. Be aware and stay away of this bad practice.

I was very upset having been court ordered to sit with this therapist. I felt it was wrong how it appeared to me that Lucy should be resolving conflict, but instead would create conflict (not always, but enough to keep sessions going). Lucy refused to provide documentation or receipts and insisted on CASH ONLY, also insisting that insurance would never cover these sessions; only to find out that insurance covered other therapists for like services. I never perceived that Lucy sided with the wealthier person, but she did testify in behalf of the person paying her court fees. I stumbled upon your report and felt that I needed to add to your statements, so that others knew your report had credibility.
I feel victimized by her actions and the fact that she used the court order to keep the ex and myself in session for over 3 years. When I mentioned the amount of time to other therapists, their mouths would drop. Mrs. Lutterbie should not be allowed to represent the courts with her services. And yes she touts graduating from law school and puts her input as to what the court orders are saying, often in conflict of what my attorney would say happened...despite Lucyy not being in the court room and the attorney being present.
One session, Lucy had the ordacity to ask about my perceptions on what I would teach my kids about masterbation. Highly offensive and none of her business.
IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS THERAPIST!
