Here is a truly horrifying story for you.
This happened just as home prices really started to fall last year, so speed was of the essence...
Our real estate agent, Lydia signed us up to sell our home and then left on an extended vacation without informing us. Never notified us in writing of any buyer contacts even though several clients contacted us directly, wondering why they had no response from the agent.
The agent misspelled our names on all the documents at first. On the initial for sale flyers (In the box on the sign), advertising the home for sale the address listed wasn't even correct. The fact that there are numerous spelling and grammatical errors on the agents website should have warned me. (http://www.lydiashomes.net/)
The "professional" photographs offered by the realtor's website turned out to be amateurish, overexposed and of generally poor quality. Not professional by any sense of the word.
To "dress up" the property, the agent bought items from Big Lots (Formerly Pic and Save), and initially wanted to substantially overcharge us for them saying the items were from a different store...After the receipts were shown the amount listed was much less, as was the reputation of the store the items were from.
I have never seen such crass inattention to detail in my life. I am completely disgusted with both the agent...Lydia Santa Cruz, and the Century 21 Diamond Realty Office in Diamond Bar California. It's no wonder there hasn't been a positive comment on Lydia's website for over 2 years!

I am retracting this report based on legal issues. As an addendum, I have no hard feelings against Diamond Realty in Diamond Bar...They're the BEST! I simply gave my side of an issue involved with a real estate agent.
