Well for one I am not a KID, and when you go to a shop and you ask for a good job, a good quality job and they said they could, all I had done is the engine bay, and the jambs nothing else thank god. Let's put it this way. Maaco will tell you they can do this or that, but in reallity, they rip off the customer. My truck was supposed to get a primer sealer on the red paint and didnt. They skipped out on the prep work, which saved them lots money and ripped me the customer.

What do you expect for a $600 paint job? I hate to break it to you kid, but in this world you get what you pay for..and if you pay 1/10 the cost for a paint job, it's not going to be perfect or permanant. It's common sense, people lack that these days. Stop complaining.

here is what the owner had to say ha what a joke, I guess maaco teaches them to be dis-honest ============================ Dear Sir/Madam As a reply to Mr ( my name here ) complain about his truck. we did have a problem with the door seal that was corrected. The Door seal made a black mark on the new paint, which any old dirt seal would do. That problem was corrected and was placed outside for Mr ( my name ) to pick up. Since he had already paid his bill. This repair was made to the truck within a few days. The customer let it sit outside for some time after he was notified that it was ready. I am not sure where he is getting the 2nd problem with the door jambs and the yelling he is talking about. We have not had any other conversations with Mr ( my name here ) since the phone call telling him to pick up his truck untill he called our corp office on 4-18-05 to complain about some chipped paint on the fire wall and e-mailed pictures for us to look at. After looking at the pictures the chip was a pinch weld at the bottom of the fire wall where the fire wall meets the floor, it looked like something had hit it in the area and chipped the paint, Since Mr ( my name ) didnt call us we told corp office we would give him touch up paint or bring the truck back for us to fix. I am still waiting for that call. While all of this is going on Mr ( my name ) started posting nasty remarks about maaco and my shop all over the internet on message boards . Mr ( my name ) doesnt want to get his problem fixed because , if he did he would have called us or come in so we can get this probem taken care of. He is having fun pulling everyones chain and complaining but isnt willing to talk or get the problem fixed.. Sincerely Ron XXXXXX Macco east Alton ok here is my responce boy maaco sure makes it sound like its my faut ========================== In response to Ron Thorp at Maaco auto body here in east Alton. Mr Thorp mentioned the problem with the door jambs, he was correct with his answer to a point.. the jamb made a dirty mark around the door.. which the seal should have been cleaned for the beginning ( poor prep work ) and he did not mention the chipped paint on the drivers side door, in which it took them approximate 2 week to paint the first time, then my thorp called me and the next day Tom Bjohrson ( friend ) and I went to look at my truck for the first time. Tom a I saw the problems ( chipped paint and marks around both doors ) we pointed them out to Ron.. he said he would fix them.. approximate 2 weeks later he called said it was done, again Tom and I wen to look at the fix, and it was just horrible. same marks around the doors, and the chipped paint was just painted over ( not feathered out ) so I was upset now this time Ron said he would do it again,, approximate 3 weeks later.. Ron said it was Done, this time and the third time the door jambs were done right.. I have witnesses to this ( friends name and number) Tom.. now this all happened after I had the engine bay painted.. now approximate ( before ) I noticed the paint was flaking off in a few spots, Ron mentioned it was falling off from a pinch weld on the fair wall, so NOT true now the biggest spot that flaking off is on a fender well, in an open and easy to reach spot.. again poor prep work and I can understand it falling off at a seam, but its not, I sent them photos of two places its flaking off, as far as something hitting it, could not have happened because at that time the truck never been moved but from his shop to my home, again this truck has no engine or transmission in it.. I was having them rebuilt... basically I got a bad paint job.. and at one time Ron agreed to give me touch up paint, and I agreed to that, but he never got back to me, that's when I called Ed at Maaco customer relations, and Ed said " Ron and Tammy do not want to see the truck again" that's when I posted my experience with Maaco on a few web sites along with many other unhappy Maaco customers. I also contacted Doris at customer relations, she said Ron told her that we agreed to get touch up paint, well its hard to get touch up paint if they don't call me back. I gave them enough chances to do this. I even asked them to just order some dupont at a local paint supplier, and nothing .. now remember the truck has nothing under hood and has to be towed, 65 each time.. a small pint of touch up would been easier then , but Ron keeps changing his story, if they would have done the job as expected and as he said it would be done, then we would not be in the position, thanks for your time ( Do Not use Maaco )

Just wanted to add that I paind about $600 for both the jambs and the engine bay........ took maaco 3 trys and 3 months to get the jamb done right Please correct my spelling in the above txt to Just wanted to add I paid approx $600 for bot the Door jambs and the engine bay, and It took macco 3 tries and about 3 months to get the the 2 door jambs done, 1st time was in july 04,( after my engine bay, bay still looked good then ) 3 weeks later Maaco called said it was ready for pick up.. Tom ( my friend ) and I went to pick the truck up, and when we opend up the doors there was a black weather strip mark all the around the door jambs and on the drivers door there were 3 places the paint was already flaking off and the truck has not even made it off thier lot yet.. well Ron said they would fix it, about 3 to 4 weeks later said it was done again...... well Tom and I looked at the jambs and Maaco just painted over the weather strip marks and the paint chips..... this time i was really POed, i new i was going to have problems with the bay soon after that..... well the 3rd time and finally Maaco did it where it looked good this time, about 3 weeks later or longer... now im having trouble with the bay, see the photos, you would think if a customer askes for a quality job, maaco should do that type of work, if I went in and asked for a chap job then i can see getting this kind of work....... but the first thing i said was i wasnt a quality job.... not my fault maaco paint job wont hold up.... if u want a nice paint job, do not use Maaco, go to a real body shop, a shop that cares about its customers, not about the money they can take from u if the shop does good work and the customer is happy, he /she tells his friends 3 or 4 people, if the customer gets riped or bad work then he/she tells everyone........

Don, Didn't you get the message from Ed, the customer relationsb representative that explained the shop was going to mix some touch up
paint for you? According to your e-mail that is what you wanted them to do. I'm not sure that offer is still valid because of the website
complaint you posted, but I will check with the owners of the Maaco Center. I do apologize for your dissatisfaction. I will check out your
web complaint and get back with you. I am receiving the e-mails from both the webmaster and the customer satisfaction section of the Maaco
Web page.
Sincerely,
