We truly apologize that we have an unhappy customer. This job is one that our General Manager remembers in detail. We had two trucks that were similar in body style, make, model and color. These were items that ended up in the wrong truck and entirely our mistake. We were not however using his truck as storage and we apologize for any inconvenience. By the sounds of the customer's concerns, it sounds as if the vehicle was not detailed. A detail involves removing all tape/masking materials, cleaning and touching up overspray, a wash and vacuum and then a Quality Inspection. We regret the customer picked up his vehicle without this being done. We would have gladly had somebody detail it immediately. There were some management problems, which have since been resolved. I hope this customer will give us another try, in the hopes we can show him that we do outstanding work. The receptionist problem has also been addressed and we make sure all of our employees know proper procedures and time-frames for caring for the freshly painted vehicle. For the record, the vehicle can be washed immediately, at home by hand. Do not use automatic car washes until after the 4-6 week period, and the first waxing has been performed. As for the bed, it is nearly impossible to make the inside of a truck bed look like the exterior sheet metal panels. If there was rust in the bed, as the customer stated, it could possibly look like dirt to someone unfamiliar with the painting industry. All beds are degreased (we degrease everything as grease can contaminate our paint booth), but they are made up of corrugated steel and are extremely hard to prepare for paint. Now that we're aware of this complaint, the customer will be contacted and we'll be more than happy to take a look at it and see if we can repair it to his liking. If the number has changed and the aforementioned customer sees this, please don't hesitate to call or bring your truck by the shop. Our number is 281-890-2222.
