Hi Ella, I'm another that has fallen into said company's trap. I'm sure it would be a big help to talk to others in the same situation but I don't know where to find your The Great International Investment Property Rip Off group. I suppose it's well hidden to avoid being shut down... I suppose it would be unsafe for me to leave you my contact details here? Regards, Jamie

This company has so many dissatisfied customers that it employs lawyers full time to scour the internet finding complaints about themselves and have them removed. In August 2007 a report about them was on television in the UK, it was shown on the programme 'Inside Out' The full report has been on you Tube for some time. Such is the ferocity of this companies lawyers that recently is has had this report removed from You Tube. Almost all the forums with message boards relating to international property have been gagged. Several large forums have removed any malicious comments about this company and another has a filter on all messages so that you simply cannot post the name of this real estate agent. There are so many unhappy and angry customers who feel that they have been lied to by this company that a support group has been formed to help people bring legal action against this company and to lobby for changes in legislation that will stop this company's activities.

What a relief to have found this web-site, which SO FAR refuses to be bullied by the lawyers acting for this realtor. Let us hope that everybody interested in this company, finds these postings when conducting a web search. This company must have satisfied clients, and must have reputable employees. However, I have seen a client lose many tens of thousands of euros. The fact of the matter is that off-plan "investment" properties, by their very nature are high risk. Unfortunately, so many buyers forget to take their common sense with them, when they are boarding the plane for an inspection trip. Firstly, don't think you know it all when you are buying an overseas property, because you know nothing! Secondly, INVESTIGATE, INVESTIGATE, and INVESTIGATE the market. Thirdly, use an independent lawyer who knows the area inside out. You have never bought an overseas property, whereas he/she has conducted hundreds of transactions. Fourthly, don't feel pressured or obliged to pay a nominal holding fee by your credit card e.g. 4,000 euros, before you return home. You can always pay this fee at a later date, after you have had time to think about things. Fifthly, the crunch, if the saleman/saleswoman has told you about how good the rental returns will be, how the property will rise in value, local amenities that will soon be constructed etc. STOP! Ask him/her/their manager/director to write all these facts in a document, sign it, and for it to form part of the purchase contract. Do you think that they will agree to this?!?!?
