Complaint Review: Maine Child Protection Services - Houlton Maine

Angela is the worker that has been over seeing my daughter since the lat worker out of Bangor, terminated my rights.  Since my daughter has been in her care, she has run away from homes, and made several attempts to strangle herself to death. At one school my daughter was being bullied and myself and my daughter told Angela several times a week that my daughter was haivng troubles being bullied. Everytime either one of us would tell her, she would say the same thing 3-4 times a week when she was told "this is the first I am hearing of this" and again same as everother day, it was looked past, and nothing was done. Then the same thing week after week and Angela said the same thing week after week. One day my daughter was physically attacked at school and I had to call another worker who did nothing. 

My daughter has told Angela on several occasions that she wants to and going to kill herself, and Angela has not gotten her any further help, instead puts her down and belittles her. Angela has had issues with my daughter not listening and has called me to try to get her to listen. 

My daughter is terrified of CPS. I called and spoke to Program Administrator Rebecca Bolstridge. On one day that we spoke after talking to her, she told me to write out to CPS as to why I feel my daughter would be safer home with me now as opposed to when my rights were terminated and she would consider possibly seeking placement back with me. Well I did as she asked, a month went by after sending it, no word from her. Another month went by, and again nothing. I had made several calls.  I called one day and got her, when I asked her about it, she said I havn;t seen it anywhere.  So i waited a couple weeks and called Rebecca again. This time she said ya you haven't made enough improvements to consider this. But if your daughter has not been adopted in another year or 2 we will reopen a case and look into this.  Well Angela told me that it will not happen, and there for my daughter living in limbo, because she was not able to talk to the judge.  Angela is also very ignorant and rude towards the parents. She treats them like they are stupid and that she is more powerful then them,. She acts superior to them.

My daughter has told me that Angela hardly ever comes to see her, and when she does, she talks to her but when it comes to things, Angela does not listen to her or anything. When my daughter tells her how she feels, she is told to grow up. and told she would not kill herself so she needs to stop talking about it (mind you she has made actaul attenpts while in dhs custody) but was over looked

There is this thing called the adoption incentive bonus and the CPS worker, along with the judge and many others get money when a parent loses their rights and gets adopted.  She has not showed any compassion to my daughter. She also has moved my daughter where she is not allowed to have contact with people.  She has tried to steal items that I gifted to my daughter. She is now along side Patty hiding the truth about the allegations. My daughter is not allowed to talk to any lawyers, or anything. They are keeping her imprisoned and they have violated all of her rights. They have not even allowed her to have contact with her brothers.

I am worreid that my daughters safety is a concern as she has attempted killing herself because of things that Angela has said to her and the way she treats her. There is more but that is a good idea of her.
