MAJOR TRANSPORT ripoff, dishonest fraudulent car transporters SMITHTOWN New York
My 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe was scheduled for pick up on 8/2005 in New York to be delivered to Live Oak, TX. I called 7/29 to verify and was told I would receive a call to confirm 24 hrs before p/u. No call was received. I called back on 8/1 and was told 8/3 would be the p/u date.
After rearranging my schedule, I agreed with Major Transporters that the vehicle could be p/u on 8/2. Laura as well as Dennis stated that the estimated delivery date would be in about 5 business days. On 8/9 I again contacted Major and was told 5-7 business days by Dennis. The dispatcher called me back to state the the driver was in Virginia picking up another car and I would be the next stop made. On 8/12 after my vehicle was still not delivered I contacted Major Tranporters once again and was told by Dennis that it will arrive by 8/25 or within a total of 21 business days.
Nowhere in the contract that I did not sign, states that it could take up to 21 business days for my vehicle to reach the final destination point. During each of my calls to Major Transporters I was talked to as if it didn't matter when my car was picked up or would be delivered, there was nothing the person on the phone could do. I was never told the fulfillment date could take up to 21 business days, nor is this information stated anywhere on their website or on the documents emailed to me. Each time I call I receive a run around and have been spoken to in a condescending and belittling manor. I have had to rent a car for 2 weeks because there is no public transportation here to get around.
