I have dealt with numerous professionals in my life as an adult, but I have never seen the need to report someone like this. I have been pissed at many companies, individuals, credit card companies, cell phone companies, phone/internet companies for error in billing, etc., but there is a difference here. Mr Rahul Manchanda fails to see that when he gets some client to sign the retainer, he guarantees them that the retainer money will be enough to solve his case. He doesnt mention that his imcompetent staff will hire other attorneys (outside of Manchanda Law Offices) to work on this case, and you will be billed for it - without your knowledge! So you pay them for their incompetency. And Mr Rahul Manchanda is absolutely wrong when he says that the client is not billed for the time he spends over the phone. I can provide pages and pages of bills where I have been charged for the same. Forget phone, if a letter has to be mailed to the NY State, you will be charged 1/2 hour fee - thats $175 for putting a stamp on an envelope, and sending it over. This guy would not survive ONE day in business if all his previous clients write about him. It is painful to write about all this, as you want to forget about this chapter in your life and move on. He is fortunate that only a few, like me, gather the courage to go through this pain once again. I am a believer in God. He will make sure Rahul Manchanda gets justice in the end. If I am wrong in my allegations, God is watching; if Mr Manchanda is right, God is watching. God Bless

It seems as though the person who wrote this report has posted over 10 items against Manchanda Law Offices as it is so repetitive that it is absolutely ridiculous. First of all, no secretary at Manchanda Law Offices bills at $350 for talking on the phone to a client. To elaborate even more, the secratary does not bill at all for any incoming or outgoing phone calls... period. I dont understand what this former client is talking about. Also, come to mention it, this name is completely fabricated because Manchanda Law Offices never even had a client by this name. Also, the $5,000 is the RETAINER fee. This is not a flat fee ANYWHERE in New York. It is to retain a lawyer and to make an initial payment so that an attorney is not simpley working for free on case. It seems as though people just dont understand the meaning of a retainer. It is not an estimate of the entire case, it is not a flat fee and it is not the only thing a client will have to pay. Any other law firm will tell you the same thing.

They charged me a $5,000 fee (retainer) paid at to different dates. I first paid $3,000 on and later before I was supposed to pay the $2,000 remaining, I asked them a several times about providing me with an invoice. They never presented me with an invoice, instead the law firm asked me for the second payment. The Manchanda Law Offices basically asked me to come see them and talk with them a few times (maybe 3 times), and nothing important regarding my mom's case was not resolved on mentioned. They just had a lawyer that showed up in the Court at that appointment, but other than that the Manchanda Law filled AR 11, a cover letter, and that's all. When I called to speak with the lawyers , they put me on hold, and I could never get in touch with them, but they charged me even for the time I left a message on their answer machine. The firm asked me a few days ago to provide them with another retainer of $5,000 because the $5,000 I already gave them was wasted. I could not believe my eyes, and I kept asking them for an invoice, which after a few good days, they emailed to me. I did not hire me to email me, or talking to me on the phone, I hired them to file simple application (which I could have done it myself). They have on their walls big awards, but all they do is to scam, rip off people, and they are more concerned with the billing instead of doing something (law involved work) for the clients. I live in New York for 10 years, and this kind of scam never happened to me. It makes me realize that I should not trust any company which is not true. I hope you solve my case. The Manchanda Law Offices is a scam, rip off company that scams ordinary people. They make huge bills by billing us for emails, talking on the phone and talking with the secretary- which is $350/ per a few minutes. This is ridiculous how these lawyers are cheating and fraud the good moral people. My lawyers were Justin Parson who is just incompetent- and I was charged for his incompetence- more that $1,000 for having an affidavit done (I could have done that myself), and Rachel Rosenberg, who kept charging me for talking on the phone only. I called again asking for some original documents I sent them and they said that They are going to bill me for the time I was on hold, and of course they are not going to return back my original documents. Camelia Ridgewood, New York I can hardly wait to meet in Civil Court with Manchanda Law Office to ask the Judge to return my money $5,000 plus the original documents back. I will also report them everywhere. They thought if I have an accent, I am stupid too.
