MARIETTA ESPIRITU RAQUENO DID AN AWFUL JOB ON MY DIVORCE CASE. BUYERS BEWARE. FAIR WARNING.
This attorney was simply awful. She was not responsive to calls and when she did speak she was dismissive, disprespectful and arrogant.
She does not follow-through on the tasks needed to perform her services or prepare adequately for court hearings and as a result she is not able to argue properly.
She is NOT detail oriented and displayed little quality work ethic.
She did not do the proper research on my case and gave blatently WRONG information. It would be comical if it wasn't about something as serious as a life and the law.
She instructed her support staff incorrectly on next steps.
She excessively billed for her services and would not address grievances professionaly.
There was no corrective action taken to address her performance by either of her supervisors Robert Burch or Courtney Shepard when issues were brought to their attention which made her a rogue.
Her support staff undermined her by appologizing to me repeatedly stating that they know she is an issue but nothing is ever done about her and that I was not hte only client that has these issues.
I submitted a complaint about her to the California State Bar. They told me even if they do not open an invesitigation that my complaint was enough to keep in a file for future reference.
I would encourage all clients who have ad similar issues to log them with the BBB, California State Bar and other governing organizations.

This is Robert Burch, a partner of Burch Coulston & Shepard. I am Ms. Raqueno’s direct supervisor. I have read this review which is believed to have been written by someone pretending to be a client (a disgruntled former employee). There are many statements that can be proven as false. For example, this reviewer claims to have brought her issues to my attention. This is false, as neither Courtney Shepard nor I have received complaints about Ms. Raqueno. Moreover, my “support staff” has not communicated any client grievances against her nor has she given the “support staff” wrong instructions. As mentioned, there are many statements that are simply false. However, in the interest of not disclosing my office’s protocols (allowing my office to weed out false reviews) and to ensure my office is able to seek remedies against this reviewer, I will not address the additional false statements in this review.
