Market Place health Insurance Obamacare over charged incompetence misleading faulse misinform over charge dishonest theft Internet
My husband and I thought we were supposed to sign up for Obamacare so we did. We were told by the Marketplace that our health insurance would be $250 per month. That was a great savings compared to what we paid through his work so we went with it.
The Market place proceeded to sign us up to two insurance plans at one point and charged us for both. My husband paid because we were told that our insurance would be canceled otherwise, they would not return our money.
Fast forward to April. Now we find out that Internal Revenue wants an additional $11.000 from us which would make our health insurance for last year 16.000! When we asked how it is possible they said to call the Marketplace.
The Marketplace gave us the run around and said to call the insurance company. The woman at the insurance company (Healthnet) said their best plan would not come close to that much; we payed three times what we would pay through my husband's job.
To top this off, the Marketplace Rep. told us Healthnet was not serving AZ this year and had us switch to Healthchoice. After contacting Helthnet we found this to be a lie.
The punch line is that they said our insurance is free now. What will this free insurance with Health Choice cost us?
We canceled it, if the Marketplace actually does what we ask.
