On 4/16/12 I bought a 1959 Buick Electra from Martin Lackner, this was through ebay and paid for the next business day by cash deposit in his bank account.  His ad said in part, 25,000 miles, fully documented, runs and drives like a 25K mile car should.

The problem is, when the car got here it didn't have a battery, the carb leaks gas straight into the intake manifold, the power steering pump won't hold fluid, trans mission leaks like a sieve, no brakes and on and on.

On top of all that, I have never received either the clear title, which he said he would send the next day or the suporting documentation.

Just google this d****e bags name or type it in any automotive site.  He has been ripping people off for years and not just here in the usa.  I have had people from England and Germany message me about his criminal acts.  He does business through Eelco mfg and North West Customs.  You are warned, be careful.

An email was sent long before his latest post with the tracking number for the documentation which includes a copy of the original hawaii title as provided by the state of hawaii DMV that matches the plate on the car and the vin as well as the documentation from the estate and the signature of the executor as such.

These items where confirmed by the Oregon DMV as needed for an Oregon title.

Vehicle was driven onto the truck that transported it and stopped as it should; else it would have went off the front of the trailer.

None of these things where an issue until recently and as stated before; A refund was offered and refused!

At this time; these claims as listed on this forum as well as the other forum previously mentioned are designed to be nothing more than malicious.

There is a reason some people resort to using online forums to spread so-called facts.

Anyone reading this should do a search for the name of the owner of this site as well as internet libel and slander laws. This site cannot be held accountable at this time but you can.

Still waiting for title

Well it's been allmost a month and I'm still waiting for the CLEAR title as advertised and the documation.

Yes I did post a positive feedback, big mistake!!  I talked to Marty on the phone and he told me he was in a minor finder binder and it would be a few days before he could send the above listed items.  Marth is a very good talker, couldn't be a good con man if he wasn't, now could he.  Any way after talking to him I taught he was on the up and up and besides that I liked him, and I said so in my feed back.

All of the mechanical items are easy fixes, but why did he have to lie about them in his ad.  "Runs and drives like a 25K mile car should".  Yea he told me it didn't have a battery, after I had allready paid him and it was on the truck.

So far I'm out $135.00 for a carb rebuild and $85.00 for a battery, just so I can start it.  As for driving like a 25K mile car, well there is the NO brakes, The power steering leaking like a sieve and the transmisssion won't hold fluid.  I haven't driven it, so time will tell what else is hay wire

I didn't expect a perfect car, but this isn't like the one he advertised in his ad.

I can't be the only one stung by Marty, just read this site some other sites like -59buick.com- HAMB or just google his name.

Marty, you have sent me 4 emails telling me the title was in the mail, WHERE is it?

This vehicle was sold on an offer made by the buyer. Not an auction bid.

It was necessary to do a people search just to get a phone number to contact him.

Payment was made right away and I went out of my way to get it shipped to him the same day. I made him aware that I needed to keep the battery and it was not a problem. If it was; i would have left it.

He left positive feeback on Ebay as "exactly as described and a nice guy to deal with" Two days after recieving the car.

He sent a message with some concerns after recieve the car to which I responded that I would buy the car back if he was unhappy. His response was that he would have a mechanic look at it and let me know. A few days later I recieved a message that it just needed a few adjustments and all was well.

I told him i would forward the previous owner documentation and paperwork in a few days after this message.

On 4/7/12 I was in a car accident and he was notfied there would be a delay.

Then all this took place.

I have no problem helping him with whatever is needed to get the car to a point he is happy with but the pictures and documentation tell the story and the description was based on my opinion of the car.

I will always help anyone to be happy with any deal with me but if someone chooses to begin trashing me on the internet and making email or phone threats. Why should I? Would anyone else?

Thanks to your experience I never will,it's bad enough dealing with used car salesperson in person, even if it's a private seller they all try to hide something. They think by not saying anything is the same thing as being honest,or,oh you never asked me about that. No thank you.

But good luck with it anyway.

You actually believed the car was driven an average of nine miles a week for 53-years?

It is amazing what people will believe.

The car was purchased on ebay, 300 miles away.  The mechanal issues can be fixed, but Marty either

does not have a title for it or just refuses to send it as promised.  Never deal with this guy, you will get screwed.
