Martin Wunder, Landlord

Rue St. Denis 31 Paris, France

To Whom It May Concern:

We stayed in this unit for one week in November, 2005. Based on Martin Wunder's failure to meet his advertised standards, we would suggest that no one stay in one of his vacation units.

This unit did not meet Martin Wunder's advertised descriptions. The sheets, towels, and curtains were dingy and torn and worn out. The flat was advertised as being charming and lovely. It was neither charming, nor lovely!

The flat was advertised as All flats are completely renovated and kept in perfect condition. We guarantee you won't sleep on shabby mattresses and all will be immaculate.... the apartments are maintained by our own staff and master craftmen. The CD player was broken. The beds were so shaky and creaky as to wake you up every time you moved! The sheets and blankets were not clean!

The flat was advertised as The building, in which the flat is on the third floor, has a lift and has been totally done up in 1997. Unfortunately, the lift was up a half flight of stairs from the lobby, and the entrance to the flat was on the 4th floor, and only accessible by taking another half flight of stairs. The unit was not accessible from the lift! This information was not accurately described in advance.

The flat was advertised as being quiet with shutters on all the windows. The four windows are highly isolated against warmth and noice. Before all windows are shutters. There were no shutters on the bedroom window, and the street noise was so loud that it sounded like the streetwalkers and bar patrons were right in the same room.

The worst condition was the cigarette smoke that entered the flat from the restaurant/bar on the ground floor. A few cans of foam sealant would solve this problem, but Martin Wunder denied the problem. We had to keep the windows open, in the winter, just to survive the smell!

The flat was advertised as All you'll need to cook. Unfortunately, there was not enough dish soap or toilet tissue. Martin Wunder declined our request for reimbursement of 6 euro's to cover the cost of these necessities.

It took more than one month to secure the refund of our rental deposit, less almost 100 euro's for electricityquite exhorbitant!

Please do NOT stay in one of Martin Wunder's flats.

You know Bruce your description of the apartment in Paris sounds EXACTLY like the one above the one I stayed in...and why the retraction? Every single thing you said also applies to the place I stayed in and was ripped off from...don't expect any retractions from me!!! I KNOW what I saw and went through. Its a shame you can't stick to your guns and got scared.

Hi all, I'm sorry but infortunately my posting about Martin Wunder above can't be deleted. I was prosecuted for blackmailing this and other vacation rental owners. My accusations against M.Wunder and Wainiha Hale ( Dr. Larry Reichle ) were just to extort them. Bruce
