I am Arfana "Jasmine" with Baloonatics/Houston Moonwalk Fun/Kids Party Rental
I am a mother with 2 small boys and my business is providing children's entertainment for birthday parties. I have had a devastating experience with another company and I feel a need to warn others.
I was contracted by Mary Ann Fordyce with Wow Entertainment to provide a moonwalk to one of her agency's parties. I had heard so many horror stories that i should have known better to work with her but i need the money for my kids,so for many months I would have to chase my money after being told over and over"It's in the mail."
But even though during many bookings with her,I knew I would have to chase the money,I knew i could usually reach satisfaction by hiring someone to watch my babies and drive to her house to get the money,this would make her mad and lecture me but it would result in payment.
She has owed me $85 since the beginning of november countless times saying "The check is in the mail" but the option of going to get my money is no more because she says she is going bankrupt. The part that hurts the most is that i cared so much about her clients, working hard to get her out of binds and now that she is going back on her agreement to pay me,she has no remorse,her words are hurtful and curt--"That's just the way it is" "85 dollars is a waste of my time" "Do what you have to do"
It also hurts that it is not just $85, I would never think of not paying the delivery staff--they are paid already
My fear is that this woman will start another business of some kind preying on people like me. It would be my wish that someone would warn me which is what i am doing now.
