AGENTS AND HOME SELLERS BEWARE
We dealt with realtor Mary Helen Thompson and her makeshift staging company and it was a total disaster.
She charges you thousands of dollars for poorly constructed furniture with scuffs and marks throughout. The stuff looks like it's been used in 1000's of homes over the years.
The MAJORITY of her furniture can be sourced at cheap stores such as Ikea yet she charges you thousands of dollars to 'rent' it and tries to bully her way through her pricing and the entire transaction.
Agents - don't send your clients her way if you want them to be satisfied with your work...
Home sellers - go buy the stuff yourself and SHOP AROUND FIRST. This company rips you off from the moment you sign to her ludicrously priced contract to the moment they come and get the stuff out of your home.
Mary Helen can't even return a phone call or an email after you've signed her contract. She demands payment up front and in full and there is NO NEGOTIATING on the price... you won't even get the courtesy of a reply from her if you ask for some consideration.
The best part is she owns all of the furniture herself making it EASY for her to adjust her pricing. According to our agent, who is no longer even working with Mary Helen after our mess of a transaction, she continiously receives complaints from people on her pricing and simply doesn't reply to them. Wel, go figure. That's because no one values the stuff at the prices you set and she's gouging people.
When Mary Helen came to pick up the rental furniture we were left with a mess on our floors after her movers walked around our home with freshly laid carpets in their shoes and a BROKEN MIRROR which she would not pay for herself or even through her insurance.
Her budget movers, which she charged us $2500 for, spent 3 hours delivering and 3 hours picking up the stuff and they left us with damaged walls they wouldn't even fix for us. This was on a freshly re-constructed home. She told us they'd fix the damage so we provided some dates they could come and we got no reply at all...
WE ARE NOW COMMENCING COURT ACTION TO GET THE MONEY BACK WE NEEDED TO FIX THE MIRROR AND THE WALL TO CONTINUE TO SELL THE HOME IN A PRESENTABLE FASHION.
A ridiculous situation when you're supposed to be dealing with paid professionals and she ripped us off of over $1,500 dollars.
Do you really want to deal with anyone that goes so far as denying they had any involvement in damaging the property when HER and her company were the ONLY ONES with access to it?
She is a total bully and her pricing is off the wall for the quality of furniture and the service you receive AFTER you sign is dreadful (if you can even call it service to begin with).
AGENTS - keep your reputation intact
SELLERS - SHOP AROUND and don't listen to your agent who may 'work with Mary Helen' as he or she probably is indeed "working with her" under the table and getting even more of your money.

This message is to provide clarity on the initial review and to avoid misleading the public.
On 10/29/2017 in the evening, we finally received a response from a member of her staff regarding the damage to our wall that occurred during the move-in of the items.
We hope we can finalize a date to have the repair made this way we won't need to incur costs associated with that fix and subsequently add it to our small claims court claim.
Unfortunately, we still have no response on the broken mirror that was cracked during the move-out and MH Homes is unwilling to offer any compensation for it.
