Masons Animal Care Abusive Grooming Service Swainsboro, Georgia
I took my Shih Tzu to this establishment for their grooming services. I specified to the people what I wanted done to my dog. This dog has been groomed by professional groomers on numerous occasions and always turned out beautiful. However, this establishment called me to pick up my dog cause they were finished with him. When I arrived to pick him up, the dog was shaved almost bald. I thought that maybe I could live with that and the dog would soon grow out plus they made me prepay for services. At no point did anyone say there was a problem. As I was going down the road, I noticed that my dog was bleeding underneath his belly. After further examination, I realized that the dog had multiple cuts on his body, some looked deep. I then took him to a another vet in this county and he was given shots for the pain and medication for the abrasions and contusions. He was so traumatized, he ran behind the couch and hid and would not come out. These people apparently have never groomed this particular breed of dog. I tried all day to contact the owner and finally was able to reach her late that evening. She said if I had brought the dog back to her, she would have treated it free of charge and she would not compensate me for the extra $75 in vet bills. If my dog was abused by someone, I would have to be out of my mind to take that dog back to this person for ANYTHING! I would highly recommend to never use their grooming services. It has been over 30 days and my dog is still not back to normal. I understand mistakes can be made, but they should have compensated me for their mistake. They took no responsibility for the problem they caused.
