There are many corrupt lawyers in this country who will do just about anything to make money. It appears that the 'HAMP' was set up by lawyers who knew that they would be able to profit from innocent and unsuspecting consumers in the USA.
It appears that the ARM's (Adjustable Rate Mortgages) and 'Interest Only Mortgages' that ended up causing the mortgage/foreclosure mess in this country, and the financial crisis, had lawyers who were involved when they were drawn up for the millions upon millions of people who ended up signing for these mortgages, right?
It also appears that some law firms were hiring outside contractors to do the "dirty work" for some of the BIG banks. Simply 'Google' this- THE NEXT HOUSING SHOCK, and watch it on the web for proof.
It's interesting that many politicians, and even CEO's of some of the BIG banks in the USA, are lawyers.
If you 'Google' this- LLOYD BLANKFEIN, you can go to the Wikipedia site and see that he is a lawyer who attended Harvard, correct?( He's the CEO of Goldman Sachs.) You can also 'Google' this- BANK OF AMERICA, GOLDMAN SACHS, AND MORGAN STANLEY UNDER INVESTIGATION, and read the related articles on the web. I believe that the investigation is in regards to mortgage securities, which were at the heart of the financial crisis in the USA.

That consumer comment was posted on August 21, 2007, which was thirteen months BEFORE the collapse of the banking system and the stock market crash, which occurred in September of 2008. On September 29, 2008, the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points and the banking system melted down and hundreds of billions of dollars in TAXPAYER'S money from the TARP was needed to prevent another Depression in the USA.
