We met with the Mayan Palace timesharesales people during our trip in January 2013. We are already timeshare owners with another company and we were not terribly interested in taking on more debt for yet another timeshare. We expressed this feeling early on in the presentation. Our existing timeshare with Shell Vacations Club is not paid off, so we still have the monthly loan payment and the maintenance fees we have to pay. We were told that their program would network us through a different "concierge" service that would pay the maintenance fees on our old timeshare, saving us that money, all while allowing us to use that timeshare the same as we always have. Once I got the information in the mail about this service, I immediately called to confirm the information I was given and found out it was all false, and I am still on the hook for my maintenance fees plus loan payments on both timeshare packages. I made it very clear that I would not purchase the Mayan Palace package if this was the situation, and they blatantly lied to convince me to purchase. I'm also learning that the rental income they promise is a big load of ***. These people told us everything we wanted to hear to get us to sign and take our money, but knew the whole time they were telling us complete lies! I've emailed someone asking to cancel the policy and get a refund, but I'm expecting to get some garbage about it not being possible

I just visited the Mayan Palace in Cancun and I regretted so much, at first I was happy because I thought I made a good mayan palace timeshare deal but I didn't, actually I was going to bring my friends from Miami next month for them to see the resort and I am very happy that I'm not going to do it. They told me that they can sell 2 of my weeks a year and I call them and is all lies they told me that I have to do that. I just can't believe I spent 7000.00 in nothing. Do not believe them, they do not care and if you ask them for time to finance with ur bank they say they can't and you won't be able to go back in five yrs. u have to do the deal in the same day and *** us we did it but I will make sure that other people won't make the same mistake than us

Its a shame that this type of situations happens. Before signing your contract, assure you to read and understand all and each one of the points written in the contract. DO NOT sign your contract if you dont find any of the verbal promises offered by the salesman. ASSURE you find all of them in written in
your contract. I recommend you to read this article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions on how most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare Scams are being committed:
