The simple solution for this problem: file a lawsuit. There are laws that state that an employee must be paid with so many hours of being fired. So, if they violate that (by writing bounced checks), that is an easy lawsuit and easy money. This is not an appropriate forum for illegal issues: these should be taken straight to lawyers/police.

I worked for MCI as an installer. Everything went fine until I needed to be paid. My first check was at least one week late, then when my wife and I deposited it in our account it was returned which also caused us to recieve a fee from our bank. Finally after calling the owner and accounts payable, which took at least 5 attempts to each number to even get through, i was told that "Michelle's" answering machine was full so I was given aan email to email her. after three weeks we recieved a bank check. By this time though my second paycheck was already due to be picked up....and of course, it was late as well. The same exact process tokk place and finally I got paid. Now that taxes are due for '07 do you think I got anything? Of course not, and not only that when a googled them to see if I could find a alternate number to try to reach them, I see one of these postings of another persons "ripoff report". If only I had seen this sooner, it just goes to show, you should google everyone before doing business with them. Do not do business with these people, they do not care about you or anyone but themselves.... and they will try to rip you off. I never would have gotten paid if my wife hadn't ridden them thill they had no choice...

Ticked off guy, you are 100% correct, and literally hundreds of contractors and consumers across the nation share your story, and my story... Aaron Couste, owner of Mainstream Communications Incorporated and Couste Communications Incorporated has been essentially stealing from his 'contractors' for years and is now wealthy of the blood and sweat of hard working people like I'm sure you are. I know I worked hard only to get charged back and have wages late, incomplete, or never arriving. 'ACE Installer' is obviously an anagram for Aaron Couste himself, who is masquerading as a guy who penned this eloquent defense of such a dog s**t company. I've dealt with people like this before, and really MCI is a product of its environment. They're one rung in a larger, organized crime syndicate. They contract for even shadier, larger companies like ConnecTV, who has, oh... the LARGEST contract to install DIRECTV in Northern CA... I know you know that TOG, but this is for all those lawyers and prosecutors that will read this... look into it, this is legit. Of course, if ConnecTV didn't abuse MCI, and if MCI didn't abuse their techs, and the techs didn't abuse the customers, and if DIRECTV wouldn't abuse their customers too... well you get the picture. I'm not saying that people that work for MCI don't work hard... they work extremely hard at ripping off every sucker that crosses their path. f**king ruthless bastards honestly, but they're presence on the phone is top-notch... (when you can actually reach them... believe me, they need to hear from you WAYYYY more than you them when you're actually talking to them.) They're total and consumate professionals. Professional grifters maybe. Every company involved in satellite and cable is so dirty in their own unique way, imagine a bunch of pigs shitting themselves, rolling in it, eating it, and then using it as currency, shitting all over each other... you just don't suspect them because the entire industry has a thick glaze of blue-collar mystique and that special brand of 'contractor-dom' that is irrefutable because it merely appears that minor 'mistakes' are made. Mistakes, like hiring unlicensed, uninsured, multiple felons to work on houses in Atherton, CA... "ooopsy, I didn't know that guy was a child rapist undocumented immigrant worker from El Salvador. I totally thought he was from North Dakota, like his unlaminated driver's license said. Well, we better assure that customer everything will be OK when he leaves a bundle of electrical wire hanging over their picture window... maybe we should cut their phone lines when we have the face-to-face so they can't call DTV on us...' When it's a systematic and machine-like process with multiple victims and this 'Altura Credit Union' stuff too... you're onto something Ticked Off Guy. I plan on taking them to court, maybe we can get you and a few others across the US on board and make it a class-action deal? I've sure got a truckload of bounced checks to present in: FEDERAL COURT See ya there!

I have been an installer for many Sat Installation Companies over the last 8 years and MCI is one of the better companies that I have had the pleasure to work for. Like most companies they have hick ups but I have found they always worked through them and treat their installers with the respect. If you have been in the business any length of time you know that the owner of MCI goes above and beyond what most others do to help his installers out. Lots of installers out there think they are owed the world. All I can say is whenever I have done work for MCI I always turned in my paper work (kept a copy for my records in case there was a mix up) on time and if there was a mix up or a pay issue the staff in California were always quick to correct it. I know longer work for MCI but if in the future I need the work I would not hesitate to contact them. ACE

OK forgot to pute this in ....as of to date they still owe me $3200 and refuse to pay in addition to they FEE'S that are invalved not to mention how this is all affecting my CREDIT! the bank that they are currently using is: Altura Credit Union and only from my personal experience I believ that this bank may be in collusion with this scetchy company they have blatently refused to answer or confirm any involvment with MCI and wouldn't even give me a heads up to confirm that BEFORE I dep. my payrolle check that it would not bounce: yes I DID express my concern to them . They turned a blind eye and said if I do not have an account that I was up-the creek then hung up on me with n extremely un professional attitude If this is all tooo confusing ....I was working for them as a highly experienced Direcyt TV instillation technician- not a hack! All promisses ..is all you will recieve from this company they refuse to handle their buisiness with professionalism ,ethics , or curtessy whatsoever....only a whole lot of lip sevice and lots of "lost" paperwork!
