Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I know there are alot of people who have been ripped of by worldcomm wireless. I am looking for people who were promised a free phone with signup but never recieved the free phone. I was told I would get a free samsung phone when I signed up.

They were "out of" the samsungs and gave me a loaner phone but promised to give me the samsung at the end of the month. that was 2 and a half months ago. I cannot get ahold of the representative that sold me the plan. He refuses to call me back.

I work at a Pizza shop and this is where the representative found me. Of course since people who deliver pizza thought it would be a good idea to have a cell phone, 7 other people i work with signed up for the same plan, with the FREE samsung phone. Nobody has recieved their phone and when they try to contact the representative he ignores them also. I am looking for people with this same problem. If this has happened to you please file and Rip-off Report, this will be greatly appreciated!

There IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE RIDE!! You got a crappy phone 'cause you were getting "the deal" - in essence, you get what you pay for!!

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Techie Their phone number: 770-320-5784 Their relationship to the company: Advocate Rebuttal: Unfortunately, I work for Worldcom Wireless. The situation spoken about in this rant is about an authorized agent. Equate this with 'used car salesman'. Not saying the equipment is used, just saying well - they're allowed to sell Ford cars without actually working directly for Ford. We do have some control over what they do, but when it comes down to it, they are just resellers for a reseller - the more the 'diluted' the sale is, the more problems the customer will have. But really - why would you buy from some putz who walked into your pizza place?! Or a telemarketer, as have many of the people who have made their rants on this site. Let me teach you a bit of Latin - caveat emptor - Let the buyer beware. Use your brain people!!! Telemarketing sales people have regulations, granted, but for the most part any salesperson you come into contact with in your pathetic little Worldcom buying life is trying to do just that - SELL YOU SOMETHING!!! There IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE RIDE!! You got a crappy phone 'cause you were getting "the deal" - in essence, you get what you pay for!! Sorry you were all such suckers - but most of us reps just LAUGH at you - oh there was some initial pity, especially for the stupid people who walked into our stores or called US for their phones - but then, there IS this little magazine known as Consumer Reports - it's a very useful tool I would recommend for anyone who is buying anything - service or goods - for over $100!! Funny thing is - I have Voicestream service which I researched FULLY and found to be perfect for me in my area. I'm completely satisfied with their Customer Service and wait time - but I still try to do the best I can with the tools my pathetic company gives me. I AM NOT ONE OF THE RUDE ONES!! I can be firm and I can draw the line when a customer is asking for something I am not ALLOWED to do and/or oftentimes completely UNABLE to do. But as my mother taught me - you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar - frequently, it is the customer who elevates the conversation to a less-than-friendly level - need I remind you we are just human beings, too? We are a lot more likely to get the job done for you when you are polite as opposed to when you call us scum of the earth, stupid, etc - ironic, isn't it? Worldcom take smoney from you but pays me - NOW who's stupid?! :P

They filed the following to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: [email protected]
Their name: "David"

Their relationship to the company: Devotee

Rebuttal:
I am an employee for Worldcom Wireless and would like to let this person know something for their own piece of mind. Worldcom Wireless has stopped carrying the samsung phones. No good reason that I know of. However that would probably explain his lack of response to your inquiries. I am not making excuses for this rep but I just thought you would like to have some kind of finalization. The name and the email address are both bogus for
the obvious reason of I don't want to lose my job but, keep in mind that you will never get the samsung. Sorry dude.

Just thought you ought to know.

David
