I have known and dealt with Tony Meister since I moved here to Austin. He is a very dishevelled unprofessional individual who works at night and sleeps during the day. On Easter weekend after just moving to Austin, my computer froze. It was Easter weekend, very few companies were willing to come out. So I hired Tony. At first he seemed personable, human even. He relegated to me tales of his misfortune, school debt, economic crisis, being laid off from the almost defiunct telecomm business and I thought well, despite the appearance, overweight, bad teeth, halitosis and stained clothes, also unwashed hair.. a self made man, a corageous entrepereneur.

He solved my initial problem and got my laptop working and he presented to me a service package which was cheaper for $99 for 3 visits. I paid it, no receipt, which I thought was odd. So when I asked for a receipt he told me he had issues with the IRS and preferred everything striclty cash and unreported. I thought...well... ok... I guess. Since he resolved my issue I thought well yes the tax dodging is bad but still I don't know anyone in this town. I bought a printer and scanner from him it worked then I needed a second laptop and he told me he had one for $300 used that a store that went out of business allowed him to buy wholesale. I said ok, I needed one to travel with, but I would need a receipt. This is when the troubles started by now it's mid May, I got the laptop, no receipt.

I asked and asked and got all these vague stories, long story short no receipt. The laptop which was sold to me as knew would over heat and shut down and I asked him to service it or replace it or take it back to send it to be reparied and I was told I had to use my service plan pre paid sesions for this, so I asked you charge for service on a non working product you sold to me and I was told yes.  During all of this in early June I get a call from Tony at 2:00 am near my temporary corporate lodgings where he states he lost his debit card is at a grocery store near my apartment and would I loan him $25 ??

I said ok... but was concerned, not safe, woman by herself, meeting a service provider, a vendor reallly at 2:15 am to give him $25.00... but against my better judgement I did.

I kept asking for repair and or reimbursement for the bad laptop I was sold, he dodged me and would call periodically with all these over the top dramatic life and health problems he had, dental work, twisted ankles it was all too much. Anyway I did ask for help when I finally moved out of my temporary corporate lodging, bought a internet modem from him, and had it installed and the laptop looked at, he claimed he fixed it and the modem worked fine. So I accepted and then he solicied from me another service pack another $99 and I agreed reluctantly. I still didn't know anyone in this city and well at least I knew Tony a litte right? Big mistake. \

The fixed laptop still broke down and would overheat and shut down. I told Tony this and said that I should not have to pay for service plan sessions for something that doesn't work that he sold me.

This is when things got ugly with him. He said that the laptop worked fine, I was the problem, no reciept and that I could not get any service plan visits for the $99 dollars I gave him, I actually gave him $100 because I was a bad customer with communication problems. So basically I am stuck with a used laptop I found out by looking up the serial number that it is 1 year old, sold in 2011 not 2012 as he claimed, that doesn't work, no proof of purchase and no receipt.

Do not deal with this person, you will regret it. Shame on me for being so trusting, human and not well informed, never again.

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Mon, February 18, 2013

This woman Deika E**** A**** aka Dea E**** has personal issues.  I mistakenly befriended her b/c she was new to town.  At first she was a good customer, giving me rave reviews, until she tried to offer me $10,000 to lie to State Dept (immigration) and sponsor her husband Enrico from Italy, so he could come to the US. From what I understand he was denied immigration originally and required a sponsor.

When I refused she went on a rampage of insults and complaints, as well as, constantly making up fictitious problems, which I tried to resolve.  Yet as it turned out she damaged the computer herself most likely in spite of the above refusal. I never advertised the computer as new, it was refurbished.

Consequently, in the beginning, I had to fend off her inappropriate advances every time I met with her, and so required to meet in public places to try to solve her problems, but they were always just a way for her to harass me.  Check the other reviews from my other customers you will see she is the only bad review I had in years.
