August 2007 I heard of Melaleuca. Fist thing I had done was investigate it online and I found this website. I decide not only to follow the "opinions" here but to investigate.

This is the fact: Why they would charge your credit card and would send you products that you did not choose??

When you enroll with Melaleuca, you qualify with 35 product points/month an average of $60 purchase. This is a simple concept of switching stores. You already buy these products every month.

If you do not place your order nor cancel your membership, because you agreed in shopping monthly with Melaleuca, they will send you a Back up order by the end of the month so you can keep your membership activated and also if you are receiving checks in the mail, you will keep getting them.

Now if you do not want to receive your back up order, just place your order every month, unless you will not take a shower, brush your teeth, clean your house, do the laundry etc.

If you decide no to shop from Melaleuca anymore, just send a simple fax saying you want to cancel your membership # bla bla bla and sign it.

Why they request signature. Let's say you are receiving and average $600/month with Melaleuca, and someone decide to call Melaluca and cancel your membership for you. Of couse this person wouldn't be your best friend or maybe he/she was. Next month you will be waiting for your check and...surprise.. no check would be in your mailbox. Would you be happy? Now, how could you prove that you did not call the company to cancel your membership? It is so simple to cancel and to understand the reason of the fax plus signature....

Also, if you are reading this and still want to cancel just send a fax to (888) 528-2090.

Do not follow the loosers. Do something different. Learn about the company and have your own opinion before star talking about something you don't know. Learning something new you can change your life.

God bless you

I've faxed in a cancellation

It appears that some of the people here got incorrect information. First, I used to live near the Idaho Falls call center and Melaleuca as a company has very strict guidelines on how to treat customers (you will get fired for being rude to someone). Second, you can cancel your membership by fax. I just helped someone cancel their membership by fax on March 20th, it went through just fine. Third, the backup order is in the paperwork. Even if the rep doesn't tell you (which is dishonest) it's in the paperwork you sign. Use common sense, aka read something before you sign it. Dishonest reps are part of every company on the face of the planet. You can save yourself a lot of hassle if you actually read and research something before you sign it. I've been a happy customer with Melaleuca for a couple years now. I have a personalized back up pack so that if I do forget to place an order, a backup order that I picked is sent to me. I've never gotten that far though. Between the laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and other cleaners I often need to order within the first couple weeks of a month.

First of all, I take offense to the title of being a looser, because I agree with everyone's comments about Melaleuca. I wonder if you might be a "plant" or a newbie business development partner with Melaleuca and these reports have lost business for you or are losing business for you. Melaleuca or any company does not have the right to send products to anyone "carte blanche" especially something they would not choose. Number 2 - you are expressly told that you can not fax in documentation to cancel your orders. It has to be sent in by mail and it is determined to be solved when Melaleuca decides to do the work, not when you send it in. They tell you that you can cancel at any time to it has to be sent to them by the 25th of the month to that it now has to be processed by the 25th of the month, even though you have told them multiple times you do not want the product, so don't send it and it will get sent back and it is sent back. They deny receiving the product when it is sent back to finally admitting that they just received it and it is being processed but now we are going to charge you the shipping fee. Under USA law you can dispute any charges to credit cards or bank accounts and it is considered fraud when you did not order it, or did not receive nor want it. They like AIG, the banks, to multiple corporations do this so it looks good on the books. It gives them money as most people get frustrated and tired and will pay something instead of continually fighting with businesses who follow these types of practices. YOU NEED TO TRY AND QUIT IT YOURSELF AND BE HONEST. YOU CAN'T FAX IT IN AND GET IT CANCELED AT ANY TIME.

I really do not think you can post using different names & locations on this website. Unless the individual has several valid email address's & accounts with this website under assumed names. In order to be a customer/member of Melaleuca not only do you have to pay the yearly $29 dollar membership fee, but you have to purchase products on their terms. Min. 35 product points on each order which can add up. You must order on their time scale ( every month ) or you will be shipped a back-up order. Which you do agree to if your rep discloses this to you ( big IF ). They use several different work at home website names instead of promoting their business as Melaleuca? When you are contacted by a rep. they tell you not to sell/promote the products, but to sign up new members. In order to make money you must sell the membership not the products ( MLM ). I would have signed up for the business if it was not for being locked into a system that from what I have read on this & other websites that is very difficult to cancel. I could sell these products very easily & even the membership if it were not for the fact they do not let the consumer decide what is the best product for them ( In some cases some reps will tell you what to buy instead of letting you decide ) & allow the customer to order when they want to order. In my work experience automatic shipments are not good business unless you give the customer the choice of whether or not he or she wants to be on one.

Do any of you really believe the negative information concerning Melaleuca? If so, I have a friend who has been encouraging me to log onto a website proving that a hybrid race of Lizards are ruling the world from a cave two miles deep in the earth (so they can stay warm, I assume). I can forward the link to you I and my family have been using Melaleuca products and find them incredibly good. I have personal testimonies of how great they are, but I won't bore you here. After reading the negative input on this site, I have determined that all such feedback is based upon false assumptions or just plain stupidity (or perhaps an unhappy competitor?) A company does not win awards from the BBB by being unscrupulous. They don't win awards from the Salvation Army and the Red Cross by being self absorbed. Melaleuca has been a rare pleasure to deal with, from a business perspective, and has fulfilled every promise and all expectations.

I just discovered this site and am amazed. Do any of you really believe the negative information concerning Melaleuca? If so, I have a friend who has been encouraging me to log onto a website proving that a hybrid race of Lizards are ruling the world from a cave two miles deep within the earth (so they can stay warm, I assume). I can forward the link to you I and my family have been using Melaleuca products and find them incredibly good. I have personal testimonies of how great they are, but I won't bore you here. You may contact me. After reading the negative input on this site, I have determined that all such feedback is based upon false assumptions or just plain stupidity (or perhaps an unhappy competitor?). Some posts seem to be by the same person(s), just changing their name and location. The Melaleuca Company does not win awards from the BBB by being unscrupulous. They don't win awards from the Salvation Army and the Red Cross by being self absorbed.
