Very bad product but the worse is the service coming from Mercury Marine main office. They would do all they can to refuse warranty without any explanations!!!

We have purchased two new Mercury Marine Optimax 225.

Both motors had breakdowns from the first two working hours.

First motor exploded after only 37 hours!!

Second motor exploded after only 41 hours while Mercury Marine dealer mechanic is on board trying to solve ignition breakdown and testing the motor.

Mercury took over a month to investigate.

They concluded that even though the motors exploded, and even though one of them exploded while their mechanic is testing the motor, that there was no manufacturing problem with the motor.

Mercury Marine have notified us with one sentence that they can not consider warranty.

Mercury Marine including it's GM refused to provide reasons for the motors exploding, reasons for provoking waranty and refused to provide us with any report.

Shame on you Mercury Marine!!!!
