I was in the market for an engineered steel building for my property.  -  I searched around and spoke with about a dozen different companies before settling in with Mike Geheb who had been advertising online using CAN-AM Steel Buildings pictures and Logo's. (later I cam to find out he was not even assocaiated with CAN-AM ). -  Mr Geheb was operating as MWG Consulting and dba Tri-Coastal Steel out of Denver Co.  -  Mike appeared very courteous and was well versed in the steel building industry.  He knew all the ins & outs of the process from slabwork, steel production, delivery and erection of the building and even had software that helped design and skin the building.  -  After working with Mr Geheb for almost 2 months, I sent off the seemingly standard 25-30% deposit, and although Mr. Geheb kept up communications for the first few weeks, once the deadlines for providing the engineered plans and confirming a delivery date passed, Mr Geheb would no longer respond to voice messages or e-mails.

It was about this time I became suspicious that I had been scammed and upon reflecting back to all of the broken promises he made about mailing product samples, color chips, etc. ( he never provided anything ), I do not believe Mr Geheb ever had any intentions on delivering a building and from what I am now understanding, I am not the only one to fall victim to his fraud.  Mr Geheb now has several people and possibly several police agencies looking at him for potential fraud investigations.

Not only did Mr. Geheb run off with my money, he also ran off with my dreams of having a building on my property as it will take several years for me to earn back the 30% deposit he took from me making my project on hold for quite awhile.

Moral of the story is to beware of who you chose to do business with. -  Had I asked for references, or checked with CAN-AM Buildings before sending money, I would not be in this position today.
