Micronpc.com replaces faulty equipment, with faulty REFURBISHED equipment!
After much shopping around and research, we decided to purchase a Micron computor/monitor/soundblaster etc. We believed that we were dealing with a top notch, high quality company. We received our package in March and due to our work schedule didn't have the time to install system for 2 or 3 weeks. Okay, we're up and running and everything seems to be just grand except that we notice a static crackling noise when we turn the pc off. Okay, we think maybe this is okay. Two months later the monitor is crackling like crazy every time we power down. It's down right crunchy AND now we also have a "ghost" ( for a few seconds) after the screen turns black. We called the tech support department. They "blame" this on our electrical system at home. ( We have just had brand new, upgraded wiring with 3 outlets that are designated for high input equipment.) Okay, it's not our electrical that's faulty. I will cut to the chase. They passed us around to a few different tech support people. So far we have been sent 2 replacements. Each time the problem was the same in degrees of getting worse.We could see by the packaging,nicks and cuts on some of the wires, grease marks etc. that these are refurbished, not new. We paid full price expecting a new system. We have 2 faulty monitors in our posession with another on the way. One of the monitors that was sent as a "replacement" is obviously a lot older than the one that we purchased. We have only spoken with "tech support" at this time. We will be speaking to "customer service". There is a 10 day time limit for us to return each monitor, before we are charged the price of the monitor. It is so frustrating. Whatever happened to good service? What about paying for something new in excellent condition versus sending something old, refurbished and still faulty?
