These people took me for a Catalytic Converter and ruin the head gasket causing exhaust leaks and costing me more money. I went to Midas for a second opinion. I had EGR codes told him my performance issue and he said I needed a Catalytic Converter.   I had to prepay for my Catalytic Converter that took a week to put on.  Came back a week later telling Matt my car was running sluggish and Midas replaced the Catalytic Converter for another one.  Kept coming back hearing a rattling noise and the Matt said, I needed a bushing. This went on a month and never got it.  When I got an oil change he ripped off a piece of my dust cover that was fine saying that was the noise was when I kept telling him it was in the front of the car at the Catalytic Converter. In addition I told him I heard a POOOF noise when I started the car and there was some lose of power when I accelerated.  Car breaks down a week later thinking it was the Catalytic Converter was clogged. Towed the car to Midas in Homewood own by the same franchise company and found out it my timing belt tensioner gave out and not my Catalytic Converter. In addition, the Hoover store had order a new Catalytic Converter and had the receipt on the passager seat and when I picked up the car, it was missing.  Dwight who worked on my car said he had no idea and never saw one.  I had someone else work on my car and when they took the Catalytic Converter off, he said I had exhaust leak, Midas did not put my Head Gasket on tight enough breaking the head gasket, hence; the rattling noise I heard.  I ask the General Manager Dwight at the Homewood store for some kind refund for my frustration taking my car back to Matt for three months not fixing the problem.  The compensation I was looking for was to reimburse me for the labor, tax and the price of the head gasket.   Dewight excuse was, he paid for the towing which I declined several times and swears he put in 400 hundred dollars of work into my car not charging me which was a lie.  I paid for Belt Tensioner.  I told him this has nothing to do with the faulty work that was done at his Hoover location and asked for a 50/50 split on the bill.  He refused.

I stand by my review.  You told me you retain the mechanics from the previous owner and they are the one's who worked on and ruin my car.

Yes I did go to the better business bureau to file a complaint. Kay at the BBB first thought I might have a claim since it was in the same building with the sign and the same mechanics are working for you that is on my receipt. I told you this and you said to go a head a make a complaint I cannot stop you.  Kay research it and said I had no claim because, even through the mechanics work for, did the work while employed by the previous owner who went bankrupt.  That is why I had no claim. I don't see it that way.  It is like a guilty defendant getting off on a technicality. You do not honor warranties or you would had the work done on my car.  You told me you don't assume any liability work done from the previous owner when you signed to take over the business.

I never made a threat I would write a negative review, I promise I would if I did not get a full refund. It was your choice and you forced my hand.  You made calls to AAMCO well so did I weeks before I spoke to you and afterwards. When I was not going to get a full refund of $2,300.16, from the owners who filed bankruptcy or from AAMCO corporate franchise center who used the same excuse the owners went out of business,  I had to take what I can get to have the electric problem repaired and that agreement was with the corporate office to repair my car not with you.  They paid for the repairs.  Not you.

The bottom line is you retain employees who ruin my car even though you said one has left. Yes he did speak to me in broken English and needed a co worker to translate. Had I got a full refund, the issue would been settled.  Do a search on the internet on AAMCO and you will see how many complaints there are against AAMCO stores across the country and people at the franchise office in Pennsylvania.  AAMCO have the worse reputation in the country for transmission shops.  What you don't understand is the internet makes business honest, accountable and to provide excellent service and work.  And if a business does not provide that and consumers are screwed over, they take to the internet and warn people.  You stray from the issue and make a personal attack on me for exercising my right to post negative reviews about other business who provided bad service that have nothing to do with you.  If you want to set the record straight, there is an arbitration on here for $2,000. That is less the cost what I was ripped off for by your mechanic who ruin my transmission.
