MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT, INC a collection notice in my maiden name which I have had since 2003 on an account that I don't even validate LOS ANGELES California
OMG!!! I can not believe what I received!! Never thought that I would be a victim of fraudelent activity because I monitor my Equifax credit file with alerts up until 2/2008. Ok, so I filed my tax return 2007 on 4/15/08. I received a collection letter dated 4/10/08 today 4/16/08.
It started off with big bold letters,
SPECIAL TAX SEASON OFFER!
Dear "ME", How are you going to spend your tax return or tax rebate this year? Supposedly the original creditor is FCNB. I don't even know who this is. After tomorrow, I'm going to need advice on how to handle this. I just bought a 3 in 1 monitoring on my credit file and wow!!! amazingly, the collection is on my credit file. I am so mad!!! that any of these company are allowed to even access your personal information without any valid information. I will contacting everyone and anyone about this. What really strikes me very odd is the tax returns and rebates????
