I was contacted by Mike Erwin and Max Kirishima's agents in 2000 to buy into Cahoots which had already been produced but the needed money to distribute the film. I declined that offer. A few months later they came back to me with a new project, Blue Hill Avenue, they said they had contracted with Artisan Entertainment to distribute Cahoots and Blue Hill Avenue and it was a sure thing that I would get 100% of my investment back plus at least 50% profit. They also said Cahoots was already making a killing and Blue Hill would also.

My youngest child was in New York studying film and they guarenteed me that she would have a part in a future film. They even asked her to go to the New York film fest and meet with Director Scott Thomas. After she did meet with Scott I was called again and told he was very interested in her for another movie they were putting together titled Whirlybirds. They said they had Carmen Electra and Halle Berry on board and were just negoiating the fees. Mike Erwim told my daughter that they would be filming over the Christmas holiday in Canada. Neither of ever received a call back regarding actual date. I made the mistake of investing in Blue Hill Avenue and Whirlybirds. I have never received a dime. Blue Hill has been on the market for over 3 1/2 years. They kept stalling by taking votes supposedly from investors about waiting for future foreign film sales or better marketing for products such as the soundtrack.

Whirlybirds was never producted and they would not refund the money I paid into the film. They tried to get me to invest more towards another film about a female little league pitcher out of California. When I refused and asked for something to take to IRS showing a loss on my investment all communications were stopped.

During the time they were operating out of Beverly Hills, California, I was solicited by their group to invest in the two above-mentioned films. Extraordinary claims were made as to their potential success and expected profits of over one million dollars. After they heavily pursued my money and I thought I saw a real opportunity for my daughter to get a foot into film I went ahead and invested. Once they got my money, the correspondence stopped for over a year. The next letter I received was to tell me not to talk to anyone regarding my investment in the films because my prior contact person had stolen the investor list and was trying to steal his investors. Supposedly my prior contact person was spreading lies about the company. I wish I had talked to this person. Maybe I could have gotten some help from him.

I contacted the attorney out of Beverly Hills Howard Harris and was told my letter and concerns would be forwarded to Mike Erwin. I have not been able to reach Mike Erwin. The phone number I was given only got me to an answering machine. I left too many messages to count. I have never received a call back.

BEWARE, DO NOT INVEST ANY MONEY IN ANY PROJECT THAT MIKE ERWIN OR MAX KIRISHIMA ARE INVOLVED IN. THEY MAKE SOME OF THE PROJECT5 BUT KEEP ALL THE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. YOU WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE WITH THE IRS BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY PAPERWORK PROVING YOUR LOSS OF INVESTMENT.
