  Mike Gonyea of Mike Gonyea real estate in Las Vegas NV. is a criminal because he is a thief. Here are the facts. We were renting a condo where he was the property manager. My wife and I had lived there for about 18-20 months when I had to go away for approx 7 to 8 months. I instructed my wife to go ahead and pay $4500 for 6 months rent, ($750 per month x 6 months = $4500) just so she would be secure with a place to live. Near the end of the first month Mr Gonyea post an eviction notice on the door. My wife naturally calls to inquire why this would be happening, what with Mr Gonyea in possession of our $4500. He states he never got the money, a bold face lie you will see he later admits to. My wife says she has a receipt from our bank. No matter to Mr Gonyea, he is going thru with the eviction. My wife goes to the RJC to answer and fight the eviction notice and is told she is one day to late and that there is nothing that can be done. Indeed a Marshall and Mr Gonyea show up on the date prescribed on the notice as the last day to vacate and they watch as my wife and 1 friend pack up everything we own, (given only 3 hours to do so many items are left behind).. all done in the rain no less and pack it into a storage POD. In the interest of making a long story a bit more to the point, approx 3 months later Mr. Gonyea comes clean and tells my wife that he was "mistaken" and lo and behold he did receive the $4500 from our bank. So here's the math for folks like Mr Gonyea who are arithmetic challenged $4500 - $750 for 1 months rent leaves $3750. But no Mr Gonyea is not yet done taking advantage of my wife, who is very non-confrontational and shy and unfortunately is somewhat an easy target to victimize and Mr Gonyea is quite aware of this. He says to my wife he is going to "refund" her back $1300, because there was "damage" to the condo. He produces no receipts for any repair/s or clean up cost. No pictures of any damage. This is on top of the fact that the lease we entered into had a $985 non-refundable deposit for just such an occurrence. My wife at the time was not working, another fact Mr Gonyea knew and took advantage of, needing the money my wife accepted the $1300 "refund".. In the approx 18-20 months we lived there we had the carpets cleaned twice. We are in our late 40's (my wife) and I am in my early 50's. No kids. No one else lived there and like a lot of professional people, middle aged, we kept our home extremely clean. The damage I will own up to would be... I'm sure the place needed to be painted because we hung up family pictures and art work on the walls. We are wild, wild people my wife and I, out of control I'd say... I'd say there may have been up to 50-60 nails in the walls of this 2 bed 2 bath condo. All I can say is we are seeking help for this sick sad behavior on our part... Just the same, it seems kind of excessive that the $985 deposit and the $2450 that Mr Gonyea kept (after he stole the original $3750), for a grand total of $3435 is a helluva of a lot of money to fix up the walls of an 1100 sq ft condo with 50-60 nail holes. Is it just me? Would the avg person agree that is a fairly accurate conclusion? I think so.. Now lets dissect maybe why this happened...I have a strange & far-out theory to be sure, but it just might be... Here it goes.... Mr Gonyea kicks my wife out, keeps our money & then rents out the condo, thus collecting double rent for 6 months, and there it is......You know if your able to do that a couple 2-3 times a year, it could add up to a small fortune... I don't know, obviously if he has ever done this before..... But I learned along time ago, "when someone shows you who they are, believe them"...So Mike Gonyea, I believe you, you are a thief, I'm a convert sir... Now, Mr Gonyea, you know who I am, and how to reach me, I am going to post this on rip-off report.com, on pissed consumer and my own FB page and every conceivable avenue on the internet, why don't you sue me sir for libel? I invite you to do that, but I suspect you wont touch that. Why? I wonder,, So I am going to the NV Dept of Industry, the Real Estate Division, I am going to request an investigation into this matter and I am going to give Gonyea Real Est the opportunity to show pictures of the damage he claims, and he will also have the opportunity to produce the documents and receipts for all the needed repairs, if there were any..Someone will be vindicated in this matter, and I feel very confident......Finally, I'm sure their are people who have conducted business with Mike Gonyea and his Real Estate Co and have no complaints, (yet) for the first 18-20 months I would have been one of them, today, for obvious reasons I am not......Good luck if you do proceed with any business with him, I would not, as he showed me who he is and what he is capable of doing...and I believe him
