I was  by Mapproached MJtechs , Micheal Johnson on behalf of WELL-VIEW 365. to install approx 27 media displays ( flat pannel monitors) in Dr.'s offices throughout NJ. Although he got my information from a service broker (field solutions) he attempted to circumvent their covenants and ask me to work directly for him and wait for payment until after project was completed. I told him no and would require he go through the proper channels.

The project was a rush as it needed to be completed by Jan 4 2014, even though final details were not provided to me until Dec 21 2013

After installing 7 of the units and attempting to install 5 others i was paid for the first batch. during this time i needed to clear my calendar of all other work to accomodate their needs. I also made it clear that due to the large geographic area I would need to be able to schedule several per day. I was given a spread sheet with what were supposedly confirmed they would be open and monitore and brackets would be on site prior to my arrival. These monitors ranged in size from 37 to 50 inch so it required an assistant.

The very first one I was to install the brackets had not been delivered by the time I arrived, Monday 23 2014, requiring a return trip, during the same week i found 5 sites to not be open even after being assured they would be open. this entailed 1 daof more than 5 hrs driving through holidday traffic and more than 200 miles spent. It is coommon practice in the IT industry as is most professionals, if you schedule my time you pay for it wether you use it productively or not. I had agreed to do each site for between 100 and 125 depending on what needed to be done, this is a tremendous bargain but given the volume it would have been profitable.

Initaly I was offered $100 total for all the sites that were not ready or not open as promised. I was told $20 per hour was more than enough for just driving, He did not hire a driver he hired an IT tech and assistant. His offer did not even cover my expenses. we eventually settled on $200 in addition to pay for the sites completed

The following week was more of the same, except i asked to have the site surveys for each site to ensure proper placement as one had to be moved after being told where to put it because the Dr wanted it in another location. I was told i would not be able to see that information. Lack of clear information seemed to me to be a deliberate way to keep me off guard and allow for them to challenge my billing. If i contacted Mike Johnsen, a person named Harvey from WELL-VIEW 365 would respond. If i contacted Harvey with a question another rep from Well-View 365 would respond. If i replied to that person Mike from MJTechs would respond

At one location I advised a certain type of instalation would be preferable and Ryan from Well-VIEW 365  "Whatever you think is best". Later to have Harvey From Well-VIEW 365 decide it was unacceptable. It does seem acceptable enough that he uses a photo of it to promote his business.

At about the same time I asked Mike to put in writing exactly what he meant by a "power bridge" as he described running electric wire indise walls and taping off an existing outlet. on one site I asked Harvey From WELL-VIEW 365 exactly how he this power bridge was to be done inside a commercial multi tennant building with steel frame structure. he advised fishing wire through existing cut outs in the steel framing. At that point I advised him that was illegal and to be done properly would require a licensed electrician in the state of NJ.

there is a commercial product that is perfectly legal for a private home owner to install in his own home, but not in this type of application. The cost of this item if it was in fact what they wanted, although no one would commit to such, localy is between 60 and 80 dollars, which they expected to be covered by the 85 to 125 original price of the instalation.

It was at this point that i believe Harvey from WELL-VIEW 365  decided he was going to get as much work as he could and not pay me for it. the following day as i was completing for the day after encountering 3 sites that were not open, again after being told they were all called ( 2 sites had clear messages they would not be open till the following week). I asked to leave a 50 inch tv and bracket at an office whose other office i would return to the following day. During the instalation i discovered a cable had been damaged and had intended to return the next day and repllace it and pick up the set. I was told that would not be allowed by the DR and was forced to take it with me. On the way home Ryanfrom WELLVIEW 365 called and Demanded i go to the final site. I advised him i was already more than 25 minutes away and would not be able to do that.

On my way home i received a call from Mike Johnsen of MJTechs that Harvey did not want me to continueand would arrange for getting his tv back. the following morning I received a call from Ryan from WELL-VIEW 365 wanting to know what time i would be getting to the last three sites. I advised him i was not because Mike ffrom MJtechs told me  Harvey from WELL-VIEW365 did not want me to do any more. At that point Ryan from WELL-VIEW 365  asked if i would be able to help him out and get them done. I advised him no, beause i had already booked other work and offered to return tv to a previously completed site that needed a return as the mounting bolts had been tampered with and needed to be replaced. this was agreed to.

The following monday I arrived at the agreed site only to find no one there , I waited 30 minutes and had to leave for my next appointment. I advised Harvey from WELL-VIEW 365 I was in a high security facility with multiple security checkpoints, performing a complicated Server upgrade and would not be able to leave at the drop of a hat. Harvey from Well-view 365 called me as i was invoolved with my duties and waited 12 minutes from the time he called till the time he sent me a text message stating if i did not deliver his tv 3 hrs away in Horsham Pa by 5 pm the next day he would report it stolen.

I advised everyone i had done my part and would do no more, if he wanted his equipment back he could provide a return shipping lable and i would drop off at common carrier of his choice, this is the custom for every one ovf my more than 90 clients and i believe industry wide for items ranging in value from 200 to 10,000 dollars.

The following day I discovered that Mike Johnsen from MJ techs had allowed Harvey from WELL-VIEW 365  Access to his buyers account on Field Solutions, the booking service that was to handle payment, and Harvey canceled agreed upon payment stating he would not approve until tv was returned. As much as i knew in my heart it was another round of the shell game i played along and made a 5 hr round trip, unpaid and loosing the opportunity to work for other clients.

Again the pea was gone , this time some how the uploaded document file was deleted and they demanded i re upload those files. at this point  i had been hospitalized with chest pains and Mike Johnsen continued to send emails and text messages after being asked to stop.

I am now told that electronicly signed documents are not acceptableand they want hard copies. Nationaly recognized companies have never had an issue with my supplying such docs in this manner. Another attempt to get me to play the shell game. I asked that they provide in writing a document stating if i provide such that would be it and i would be paid. to this day, 2 weeks later i have yet to receive an answer other than to say they forbid me from going to sites to obtain such.

What makes it so incredibly clear they have no intention of paying, and even expecting and demanding more work they had no intention of paying, is the document is a common doc used by buyers to have the onsite client confirm the work was done as most clients are in varioooous parts of the country and have no way to verify the work was done. in this case WELL-VIEW 365 has pictures I providded ( one including Ryan from WELL-VIEW365  actually demonstrating the display ) AND WELL-VIEW 365 is using photos they took of my work on their face book page to promote their work, see link below

I am posting this because I never expect to be compensatedbut to warn other professionals who may be approached by these people of my experience. Also to serve as a warning they are asking non licensed persons to do llegal work in multitennant buildings. in NJ that can result in fines of $5,00.00 for both the installer and the person in control of the property where it is done. not to mention the hazzard of having a wire being damaged by scraping against sharp edges in steel framing or even someone putting a nail in the wall from the Dr's suite or an adjacent suite.
