I first met Colyn of Mobile 1 Detailing in the LA Fitness parking lot while he was mobile washing a car. I told him I had a few cars that needed some paint reconditioning so I took his number. after seeing the vehicles he quoted me $2200 for a clear bra on my Gallardo, painting a door handle and a rocker panel. Also the price included a wet sand and buff on my black escalade. He seemed like a cool guy with a fair price so I said go ahead. That's when the trouble started. He takes my Gallardo for a few days and brings it back with a clear bra with bubbles and that is peeling off. He says no prob they will fix it. Three weeks go by and he doesn't answer phone or call me back. I finally called him from another phone and tricked him into answering.
He then informs me that he was out of town without his business phone. Yeah right. He then informs me that the guy that did the shoddy job has basically told me to go to hell and won't answer his calls either. So I say ok, we'll lets at least get my Escalade done, he already has my money so I might as well get that done.
Once again he disappears for 3 weeks with no calls or answered texts. I start asking people that know him where he is and where can I find him. i finally trick him again into answering his phone again, this time from my friends auto shop in Gwinnett.
He he then tells me that he's heard I have been looking for him and he will not be doing my escalade that I have already paid for. Hmmmnnn. Ok. So we both agree that he will pay me back everything minus the clear bra. So I'm only screwed for the clear bra which I have since taken off, and the paint work that was done on the Lambo. Cool.
So I think you can figure out what happens next. He agrees to drop the money by my house about 6 times, never seen any of it. It this was 3 months ago.
And to top it all off, one of my friends informs me that there is a YouTube video he made of him racing my Gallardo up 575 in the middle of he night.
Please contact me before you do anything with this guy, I would be glad to tell you what a stand up guy he is. Also read the numerous reviews about him and his company to see who you are dealing with. Start by googling his phone number, then for his arrest record look up his full name. And more complaints on his facebook page.
At this point it's not about the money. If I can save anyone from dealing with scumbag, it will make feel better.
