Monroe Glass and Mirror ETMup Graphix Ripoff - overpriced shoddy work. Key West Florida
Gave Monroe Glass and Mirror my windows to replace. When I picked them up the price was inflated, the work sloppy and they wouldn't adjust. I took them home and saw one was cracked, the other split and all the others not insulated right. They said the cracked one was my fault, hung up the phone on me and only called me back after I called again and threatened with legal action. Against my better judgment, I brought them back because Visa said I should and while they fixed the two broken ones, they held them then for ransom until I would pay in cash (I contested payment with Visa). They charged pretty much the same for materials as 6 other businesses I got estimates from, but over twice as much for labor AND gave me bad work. The owner lied when he said I left happy and the secretary lied and then hung up the phone on me when I told her the job was sloppy and they had cracked the glass. Owner took the bad items back to fix them but demanded I only pay cash because he wasn't going to credit me the time, money or effort spent fixing the rest of his bad work or bringing his bad work back or getting it assessed. I never write reviews, this one is really an exception. Better Business Bureau contacted...buyer beware!
