Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am selling my car so i researched ways to sell it online. I came across a scam alert very similar to this one. After posting my ad on a few websites i recieved the email below. I had heard of this scam so i was aware of what was goin on when i recieved the email this is how it went...So take this example ad learn from it. If you see an email or letter like this one do not do business with them.

Hello,

How are you? I have forwarded your vehicle information to my In-law and after evaluation and due to time constraint on the fact that we are running short of time. I'm delighted to tell you that he has recommended the vehicle, with full interest and he has instructed me to carry on with his transaction, he hopes to see what you said about the car on its arrival.

However, my in-law made out a certified cashiers check of ($15,000) before he traveled to Germany for his aunty burial rite, for a previous car and its shipment charges etc, but it was unfortunately sold. The amount on the check he deposited for the car is bigger than what should be paid to you now, so the check is now meant for the total expenses which include the purchase of your car, the pick up of the car from its present location and the shipping charges/other necessary port arrangements.

Meanwhile he has instructed us to carry on with this transaction. So you're required to deduct the cost of your car ($8,500) and send the balance of ($6,500) to the prepaid shipping agent for him to be able to offset shipping, tax charges, and procure for a space in the ship that will convey the vehicle.

After payment has reached you and balance sent to the shipper, my fore-man will be coming for inspection, pick up (of vehicle & signing of title papers), make some cosmetic touches and drive to a prepaid shipper to be shipped to my customer. And also conclude other necessary shipping arrangements. So you don't have to nuisance yourself about the pick up and shipping arrangements.

Please confirm this and provide me with your legal name, address and phone number for check payment to be delivered to you via courier service.

Regards,

Mr. Edward Miller.

Below is my In-law information that will appear on the title paper:

Elder. Patrick Martin Ford.

445 St-Jean-Baptiste

Montreal, H2Y 2Z7

Quebec, Canada.
