Never refer someone to the Kingswood Apartments. My friends referred me and never got the $200 referral money from Diane the Resident Services Manager and Lola the Leasing office Manager. Then after I moved in, I referred friends and I in turn never got the referral money. Each time Lola and Diane had a different excuse. Well one of the VPs of Morgan Properties happened to be my neighbor in 2008 and when I complained to him, he said that they always tried not to give that money if they could help it. What sneaky liars, they why would they offer it ?

I also had no heat since September 2008 until January 19th 2009, yet I had to pay for heat each month. I finally got heat the day I wrote a letter to Diane Horne about leaving. I guess she realized then that people were getting lawyers involved now. About forty other people complained around the same time that I did.

My apartment got flooded twice during heavy rains in October 2008 and January 2009. And nothing was repaired in the walls that leaked. My property was damaged and they claimed that that was not their problem but the insurance company's. The insurance company and also an engineer friend of mine told me it was the landlord's responsibility to reimburse me for flood water damage. I suffered in a wet moldy apartment twice for over two weeks, each time they sprayed toxic mold chemicals in the presence of my four year old and myself and told us that it was okay to stay there. So we stayed and got very sick.

When I complained about the wetness, chemicals and mold to Lola and Diane they did nothing and waited a couple of weeks until everything was dry and then took pictures of a completely dry apartment. Then Diane called me saying that she didn't know what I was complaining about - the apartment seemed dry. Well I had taken snaps of the wet apartment prior and had shown it to them. Diane said she didn't where I got the pictures from - indicating I took fake pictures. So, I wasn't reimbursed for my suffering.

Now that I am leaving on an emergency basis at the end of my lease, ie March 8th 2009 because I do not want to be affected by floods again, they are charging a full months' rent in March 2009.

I am getting a lawyer involved. Anyone who wants to join me, please let me know.

Any get their deposits back from Morgan-Properties?

I have a question did anyone reading these reports on Morgan-Properties get their deposit back? My entire building moved out the same month. Morgan-Properties has a large turn over and eviction rate due to the large cost of utilities and the 14% rent increase after one year. I had a bate and switch after I gave money for the deposit and back ground checks, credit reports. As for the deposits where is the interest? I received a inflated bill after I was kicked out. Conned into paying thousands to stop a court case! I was charged for utilities rent and late charges for two months after I was kicked out in my PJ's by a officer posing as a sheriff employee! Dont get sick because if you fall behind on their high rent they will kick you out too! You will have to starve to pay the thousand in rent and three hundred in utilities, after your other bills there is no money for medical care and food! If any has a lawyer please submitt his name. A class action should catch their attention and maybe they would not practic illegal business practices!!!
