Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
1. At the end of November, a man named Chris Yunge from Morton Vanlines came to our house for estimation of shipping our stuff from Portland OR to Salt Lake city Utah. He gave us the estimation price is 3128.8 $. On the same day, he called us to require our credit number he said we need to deposit 10% of cost about $312 to insure we can get delivery in December, also he said if we changed our mind and do not want have Morton Vanlines ship our good, this 10% deposit will be fully refunded. Since we were in a hurry to be abroad at that time, we gave him our credit card number.

2. In the early of December, when we were back to US, we found Morton Valines has charged 313$ on 10/30/2007 and 2816.8$ on 11/9/2007 through our credit card. This caused we are charged by credit card company by $39 due to over our credit limit.

3. Since we had already been charged by Morton Vanlines by the full cost, we decide to have Morton Vanlines ship our stuff. The pick up date in Portland OR is 12/11/2007. After half of our goods were picked up to truck, the Morton Vanines required us to pay other $3400 to finish the work. We had some argument, and finally Morton Vanlines required us to pay $1700 in cash. Since half of our stuff had been in truck and we were fully charged by $3128.8, we paid $1700 to Morton Vanlines in cash. On 12/12/2007, they came to my house to finish the pick up. They also asked us to sign the contract. In contract, there is no delivery date, I asked them, they said it usually takes about 7 to 14 days.

4. By the end of December, We moved to South Jordan, UT. We continued to contact with Liz Posnack and Aaron Griffin by email and phone regarding to the delivery date of our goods. We had told them that it is very hard for us live in Utah without enough living stuff such as clothes, beds, quilt and dishes. We had to sleep on the floor for last two months, and the weather in Utah is much colder than Portland. We are getting cold again and again. We could not get enough response from Morton Vanlines, and sometime we called, emailed, no response at all, even the voice machine does not work, we could not leave message. In last two emails we sent to Liz Posnack, we required compensation on this, but did not get response email from her.

5. We filed a complaint with US Department of transportation, we were notified that a letter has been sent to Morton Vanlines regarding to our complaint. We got a email from Liz Posnack, she said she will contact with us once she knew the delivery date of our goods on 1/23/2008/ Since then we did not hear from her.

6. My wife made other call on 1/30/2008, she was told our good can be delivered on next Friday 2/8/2008. My wife required compensation on this. The lady who talked with my wife said she would get with Liz about this and called my wife back on either 1/31/2008 or 2/1/2008. My wife and I did not get any response on 1/31/2008 or 2/1/2008. My wife had to call Morton Vanlines again, but on one answered the call, she sent email to Liz, no response. Until now, we still do not have the exact delivery date of our stuff. After two months struggling, the phone number (503-933- 2219) Liz gave to us to reach your company was temporarily disconnected, also the 1-800 number on your website does not work, even the claim email address does not work.

7. Finally Liz informed us our shipment will be deliveried on Feb 25, 2008. I and my wife took unpaid vacation one day to wait for delivery at home. But any yet. On the second day, Utah local storage company informed us our goods is in their storage, but they got false credit card number from Morton Vanlines, they can not get one penny from the Mortons credit card, also they could not reach them by the phone they listed. Local storage company required us to pick up our good by ourself.

8. We tried to contact with Morton Vanlines, but could not get response. We picked up our shipment by hiring a moving company, and spent other $500. After the shipment arrived, we found many furniture were damaged. The total damage is up to $3000.
