Mountainside Fitness Core Concepts Smoke and Mirrors "Special Offers" to sign up Scottsdale, Arizona
So Mountainside Fitness was running a "special deal" discount to sign up new members. They were giving 1/2 off of the initial signup fee.
My wife wanted to go back so I decided to join too. We took advantage of the "deal" and life goes on. HOWEVER less than a month later I get a notice in the mail stating that they are going to charge my credit card and additional $50.00 for "COUPLES ENHANCEMENT" fee.
This really pissed me off because when my wife was a member a year and a half ago they did the same thing to her for a boxing ring fee.
THE AUDACITY OF THEM TO JUST TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE YOU AN ADDITIONAL FEE WHETHER OR NOT YOU CARE!
I have called corporate 4 times and have never spoken to anyone. I have left messages but have not received any return calls so it's obvious that they are going to do what they want to do and TS to the customer!...
WELL I'M HERE TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO WHEN IT HAPPENS TO YOU. SEND THEM A LETTER BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD WITH RECEIPT CONFIRMATION TELLING THEM THAT YOU WILL NOT PAY ANY ADDITIONAL FEES AND IF THEY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD YOU WILL TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT.
Send (fax) a copy of that letter and the receipt confirmation to your credit card company and dispute the charge. THEN contact me and I will provide free of charge all of the information for you to take them to small claims court or you can go to http://starpas.azcc.gov and search business entity to get the correct information.
You see they are going to have to appear to defend themselves and if enough of us take them to court for stuff like this they'll get tired of appearing. What's that going to cost them? (((ROR redacted))). I'm happy to help.
