Barbara kept saying there was plenty off work for children as soon as we paid to have their pictures on the online site. Pictures were not very good, write up was wrong, and we have not heard from anyone. I called Barbara asking what was wrong and was told it just takes time, if there is anything we would be called. We did not choose the extra pictures that cost more and she was annoyed, snappy and rushed us out.

First off I love the fact the one person claims that their kid was on the Kingdom, it was shot bu my house and me and several other film students were invited to a few filming locations, The best was on the 202 and Power during the big car explosion. They didn't use MovieWorkNow for the extras.Almost all the people were with SAG even the extras. Some extras locally were used, but you had to sign up with the actual movie crew as they posted thier own ads. FYI MovieWorkNow goes online and posts fake rebuttles to angry clients who were scammed. They also filmed a small scene for DateMovie here, bet if they found that out they would run with it. Sadley though the shots were done on Mark Cubans private 767 at Sky Harbor Airport, so I doubt it would do much good :) You want movie work contact the people making the film or just show up on set, its not impossible, but your best bet is moving to L.A.

Movie Work Now Rebuttal

I just wanted to add a response to the accusation I just read about Movie Work Now. I agree with the first rebuttal on all talent needing to have photographs done to start out in this business, if you don't know that, you really need to research getting started in this business. We are currently with Movie Work Now, and in their database. The photos cost us $280 each child. Believe me when I say that is not an outrageous price. Many photographers can charge up to $500 or more in the Phoenix area for a photoshoot. My 2 children have recently been on set of "The Kingdom", a major Universal Film starring Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner. We were there because of Movie wrok Now. My 9 year old daughter has also recently been on a commercial with the "Phoenix Suns" Mascot. This was a commercial for the AZ Dept of Health and will be aired on cable stations. There are MANY agencies around Phoenix that definitely ARE scuzzy. Movie Work Now is NOT one of them. We have had a wonderful experience with this company! They provide a door for new talent to get started in this industry.

Dear maam. It is tragic that you did not have such a good experience. I signed up in April 2004 with Movienow, skepticallly, also. First of all, I brought no professionally done pictures, so I needed them done somewhere. So perhaps Movienow is opurtunistic, but not really cheats. Secondly, I was cast as an extra in a religious commercial ($75 pay, May 2004), volunteered for a Capital One commercial, Bank One Ballpark, with Randy Johnson ($120 per day, May 2004) and recently was an extra on BBC docudrama 'Pandemic ($75 day). This year, after being with them since 2004, I only pay $60 maintenance fee and the initial fee I paid for the pictures. I think just like any job you have to actively pursue opportunity. I got the extra role in Pandemic by volunteering to sit in my vehicle on set while they were filming, instead I was used as a motorcycle cop in a Phoenix neighborhood and a guy wearing a Biosuit at Sky Harbor airport. I feel their claims are legitimate. And regarding talent agencies, almost all of them require professional quality photographs of you from a professional photographer. These photo sessions cost around $350-450 per session. I think with Movienow we got a pretty good deal. I am very impressed with the picture they done for me and my wife. If you havent burned your bridges with them yet, ask if you are on their website, and if they do give out a casting notice volunteer if you fit the casting calll needs.
