Hey, all you out there that think you know all about trans repair. Call Mr. Transmission, they say they know everything. Just ask Sam, the Southern Area Rep for franchise Development. My partner and I have been in the automotive industry for 27 years combined. Having made the decision to open a new trans repair shop took some research and time. We found Moran Industries and Mr. Transmission, did the necessary background research, spoke with 3 other Mr. Transmission franchise owners on the phone. Having been given the negative sale (for you beginners, that is where the sales guy says "well your application will be reviewed, or well there are only a small number of franchises available, or I will try to hold that price for you but a price increase is on the horizon") we jumped in, @ $45k plus the shop 2 bays, tools and rights to Corp software. Now 2 years later, the following represents our experience; 3 week elementary training No continuous support, email or phone Low quality part Limited availability of low quality parts Bad reputation in the public No ongoing training as promised No return calls from local rep So overall experience, less that bad If anyone is thinking about taking a vehicle to a Moran, Mr. Transmission repair facility, or thinking about opening a Moran, Mr. Transmission facility,,,,, DON'T

Todd, Ron,Anon and anyone else that has been scammed by Mr. Transmission. We should all ban together to get our money back. I am in the belief that you should not rely on someone else to get your job done, although if you paid for something, it should be delivered. I am into my shop @ 200k at this point. I have had to fire 2 employees and have taken additional money from my personal accounts to stay open. The BS information, advertising and lack of technical support is unreasonable. Anyone else that has incurred this same problem, write back, then we can ban together to sue their pants off to get our money back.

When I first looked for a shop to open, my SBA advisor suggested many different oppertunities, this was not one of them. I felt I needed to start a business with the support and training Mr Transmission, Moran Ind offered. I attended the Center Manager's Training School at the home office. To start off with, I was disapointed, unorganised, run down part of town. I was given names to call, Jay Pond and Jimmy Michell, they painted a rosey picture, I assume they got paid when I signed the contract. Mike Promised 3 weeks of on site training, I ended cancelling the second half of training it was so shotty. The initial investment of 28K was too high, in addition I had to purchase to Co software another 4k. in total, real estate, signs, advertising, permits, additional tools 147,000. give or take a few thousand. The "ongoing support" is terrable, everytime a vehicle comes, all the updates for the repair are not up to date, schematics are old. I have tried to ask for a Corp Tech 800-377-9247 to help, but can not seem to get any answers. Dr. Nicks, Multi State and Moran are all in kahoots together. Big company that does not care if you fail. Anyone else? I think we should all get together and file a suite, get our money back.
