Mr. Transmission ripoff They took my car and made it even worse. Murray Green knows how to swindle you until you say uncle. Tampa Florida
Murray Green is one of the best mechanics I've ever been to. And by that I mean he knows how to swindle you until you say uncle. I took my car there for some fairly simple transmission work. Or so I thought. I don't have the first clue when it comes to cars. They saw me coming a mile off and quoted me high. I didn't know that until I went to a real mechanic.
Then once they said they were done they said they needed to flush the transmission. Like I said I have no clue so I said okay. After they flushed the transmission they came back and said my o-rings in the transmission line were deteriorated and would need to be replaced and the car would have to stay with them for an additional week and the quote on them fixing that problem was $1500 more I was going to have to spend.
Like an idiot I paid it so I have no one to blame but myself. I just want to warn everyone out there to be careful.

Glad I came across this. This is true. This company sucks. I spoke to a man named Tom Moore, and my local Mr. Transmission right after they did a lousy job on my 89 escort. First of all they scratched up my car, dented it, and never really did the job they were paid for. 2 weeks after going to them I experienced the same problem. So, apparently they dont really fix transmission,. Maybe they put bandaids on it, likei do for you 8 year old's Boo-boo's I called them up and they gave me some BS story, told me it was not their problem...but I can bring it in to be checked for $50. Then fixed for about $400 Down with Mr. Transmission! They suck. Don't ever go to this company. O, Also, when I took it in to get fixed..at another shop, they found a paper plate stuck under my hood!!!
