Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was called by 'MDS' or 'Market Research Company, LLC' because they say I did some online shopping with one of their affiliates, which include Walmart, Target, Apple Store, etc. to name a few. The man I spoke to did not seem to have an accent. It just sounded like he was a white guy sitting in a call center. He asked for my first and last name, but instead I asked him about why they were calling and how I got on their list.

They were offering a savings program and he stated that "all you have to do is take a look at it and see if it's something that you're interested in". They also offered to provide me with a toll free number in case I wanted to cancel. Since they are mailing everything out to me, including my free gift, all they would ask me to pay for is the one-time $6.95 shipping cost.

Just for "trying out" the programs, I would receive either a $25.00 American Express gift card which can be used the same as cash, or a $40 gas rebate card. Included in the package that they would mail, I would also get a $15 shipping rebate, so I would essentially be gettting my money back that I paid them for the shipping.

I politely declined, stating that I don't think I'd be interested, and he said 'oh...ok.' and hung up on me. I called back because I wanted to be placed on their Do Not Call list. A woman with a very heavy accent answered and immediately asked for my name. I asked to speak to her supervisor instead. She said "can I ask why, ma'am?" I stated that one of their representatives had just hung up on me. She said 'ok hold on' and placed me on hold for under a minute or so.

A man with a heavy accent came to the phone and just stated his name. I said 'hello?'..he said "yes, what's your problem." I explained what had just happened and he asked if I provided the rep with my information. I said no, I did not. He proceeded to explain the program to me, so I interrupted him and said "He already told me about the program, my issue is that he hung up on me." He said, "ok ma'am, thank you for your time have a nice day." I stopped him before he hung up and said that I would like to be placed on thier Do Not Call list. He said Ok and still hung up on me without saying anything more.

So somehow my phone number was places on a call list, which this company purchased, which does not include anyones names for legal reasons. Because it's telemarketing. You have to get people to give you their information by 'selling them' on your product.

This company is b*******.
