MWI Connections fraudulent credit card charges Omaha Nebraska
MWI Strikes Again.
I just received a statement from a credit card that I have not used in over 6 months with a charge from MWI Connections for $84.
When I called MWI connections, Barbara (Emp. #PP479) informed me that I had agreed over the phone to a subscription service for travel discount. When I told her that I had never authorized this membership (as I never say 'yes' to such offers) she immediately agreed to refund the charge and "cancel the membership."
I called back 5 minutes later to ask a question, and Amandla (Emp. #14776) informed me that there was no record of my previous phone call. He assured me that this time the charge would be removed. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told that all lines to supervisors were busy and one could not be reached.
When I called the credit card company to dispute the charge (not trusting that they would refund it), the customer service agent told me that the same thing happened to her when she order a book over the phone. In spite of the fact that she answered "no" to all additional offers, they still signed her up.
I am calling the local TV station to see if they will investigate this fraudulent company further
