Good news. Less that 3 days after I called MWI to complain and demand a refund, my account has now been credited in full. Tip: Call your bank FIRST! Tell them you are a victim of fraud and of the hundreds of reports you see here. If they ask whether you have contacted MWI tell them no or that you didn't get anywhere talking to MWI and that you would like them (your bank) to place a conference call to MWI so that the entire thing will be recorded. Banks record nearly all conversations these days. My own bank did this for me without my even asking. It was quite obvious that the MWI rep my bank and I spoke to during the call that he was rather nervous, no doubt because he knew the call was being recorded and my bank was on the line backing me up.

Ok, I should have waited before making the first update hehe. I have since found the 2 ultimate business websites relating to all of the MWI companies going under various guises. The first belongs to Memberworks, Inc., the apparent owner or franchiser of all the other MWI 'membership programs'. http://www.memberworks.com/ Following a link there took me to DealPass, at http://dealpass.com/ There you will find all the info on what and who they are. Among a list of 10 different 'program' names you will find all the ones listed by people here as having ripped them off: Galleria, Connections, Essentials, Premier Health, Simple Escapes, etc. They claim over '8 million members' and 'over 400 retailers', and many of the latter are very major retail chains. I still have no idea how I apparently unwillingly became a member of this 'club', but thankfully my credit card company is on my side. Hope that helps more :)

Here are some websites under various business names, all relating to MWI: http://mainstreetsavings123.com http://www.galleria123.com http://www.simpleescapes123.com All of these sites are exactly the same, aside from colors. The only way to actually learn anything at these sites is by clicking the "Forgot ID" button, which takes you to a FAQ section. It's not much of a FAQ and doesn't even say what companies they provide discounts to, or even how to join, if one were foolhardy enough to do so. All of the addresses given at these sites are in Omaha, NE. Hope this helps.
