Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My girlfriend lives in Oklahoma and just got a new bank account in the last 4 days because of something she got in the mail about her account number being compromised. Anyway not 3 days into my new account we find a charge from MWI on her statement, neither her nor I have never heard of this company, we are very discreet about where we swipe cards, and we haven't put a any card into a website in over a year. So there is no possible way this place could have her number unless they had it from another source.

I noticed your lawsuit is filed in California does this mean a positive outcome on the lawsuit will not affect her?

This company MUST PAY, I would like anyone will to take action to answer with the rebuttle key.

I am prepared to coordinate a Central United States MWI Removal of Rights to practice business, putting a stop to this isnt enough, we as Americans must stand up for our rights of property and savings, and make an example of these thieves. News coverage in your local area, summit this to the media, because this is affecting this entire VISA community! I see reports as far as ASIA about MWI. I urge you all to, at the very least, take a copy of some of the documents you read in this forum bring them to the attention of your local bank, tell them that MWI is solely a fraudulent cover for making un-authorized transactions. Most of you should be able to convenience your bank with the overwhelming proof provided here alone not to allow any transaction with MWI in the name this will at least slow them down.

The next step is to make a firm example of these people.

Lets say for example... What if everyone that got their money back pooled only a fraction of that together and took MWI to court, sort of a poetic justice if you will, one thing is for sure with that idea, there would certainly be more then enough money to hire lawyers to do this with that amount. (just an idea)

I will further more be posting a website over this issue. I intend to do something about this, but I cant do it by myself. If you wish to take action for Central America Email me through the rebuttle today!

I think what this company is doing is illegal, in fact is down right unconstitutional!!! And the persons responsible should be put in jail!

MWI uses several guises and ruses in which to obtain a "verbal authorization" to gain access to victims credit card and bank accounts. If you have been a victim of MWI then file and ACH Debit Fraud Complaint forma with your bank or file a chargeback with your credit card company. Next file a complaint with your state's attorney general's office and federal trade commission office. Or....just a click away...www.ftc.gov Good Luck,

THE VISA PEOPLE ARE IN BED WITH MEMBERWORKS INC.

While it is a good idea to b***h to your bank about MWI, you should realize that your bank is most likely in bed with MWI. Odds are that your bank or Visa were paid millions for your financial info. or are paid around 25% of the membership fee. This company gets your financial info through 3rd parties that we trust and we have no idea that they have it. We need to b***h to all the companies that deal with Memberworks and get them to cancell their deals and let the public know that you can get refunds if you demand it. The company which has $450,000,000 in revenues, is vunerable to giving a higher percent of refunds and to not getting deals with Banks, card companies, Sears, Aol, Travel Companies, Limited stores and others. MemberWorks Inc. has many names to operate under to con the consumer out of their money. They do it through telemarketers, infomercials (answered by the same telemarketers) who offer additional products, through the offers from your bank statement, through their Website, through large companies you trust, and now through pop-up adds on AOL. MemberWorks Inc. pays millions of dollars to telemarketers, banks and companies you trust to your name, checking account number, credit account number, debit card number and other financial information. The company is listed on NASDAQ and expects to have over $450,000,000 in revenues in 2003. Companies with deals with MemberWorks include but by no means limited to, are Sears (who along with MemberWorks were sued in Minn.), Limited Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Express, Express Men's (Structure), Limited Stores, White Barn Candle Co., Henri Bendel, AOL, US Banks and Citibank. AOL was paid $1,000,000 in December 2002 and is going to be paid at least $3,000,000 in 2003 for access to debit and credit card numbers and have ads for that offers something for nothing if sign you up for a risk free trial offer. In the fine print they tell you they will bill you $139.95 in 30 days if you do not cancel and every year after that until you catch it to the debit or credit card AOL already has. MemberWorks bases it profitability not on providing a service to the consumers, but on the statistics that people will not notice the charge on their credit or debit cards. They hope that you do not notice the fine print and forget to cancel for years. They sometimes offer $500 in free coupons on a thirty-day risk free trail and tell the consumer they will receive membership info in a few days and then send out the info in an envelope that looks like junk mail so you will not open it and cancel. Their ads are misleading and very deceptive in nature. They misstated the number of Doctors and Dentists on their health plans and misled on the percent of savings. According to MemberWorks employees they try to mistreat actual members who ask for the offered discounts because they loose money on people who know they are members. So what can you do a company like this???? Call MemberWorks and demand a refund in less Ask how they signed you up? If by phone, ask for recording of your voice. Ask how long you have been a member? You may be entitled to several years of refunds. Call your bank or trusted company and ask if they sold your financial info? If they did, include them in any complaint and refuse to do business with them and tell your friends. File a complaint with the federal trade commission and with your state agency. Send e-mail to Bill OReilly, Dateline NBC, 60 minutes, your local stations, newspaper and anyone else you can think of. E-mail your state and Federal representatives to change the law. Here is a site that explains some of the laws. http://www.cga.state.ct.us/2001/rpt
