Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

If you're looking to work with this company or invest in his roofing system, I'd strongly suggest not wasting your time because both the owner, Stuart Graham, and the sales manager, Andrew Duggan are complete con men.

I answered an ad on craigslist to set appointments for Stuart's “great roofing system” that helps roofers explode their business and get more profit from the roofing jobs they are already doing.

Andrew told me that 1 out of 10 roofers who saw it would buy the program (It costs $25,000 plus a percentage of profits). In 7 weeks, I turned in 124 leads of roofers who wanted to learn more about it and not a single one of them came on board (or so Andrew tells me). Not one.

After 2 weeks of getting appointments, I was told I was the best lead-generator they ever had and that I had 6 roofers who were “very close” to signing up and that they “knew exactly how to talk to them to explain the program.”

Yet 5 weeks after that, and about 100 more leads, again, not ONE of them joined the program. So, if you're a roofer, no need to waste your time. I got 124 roofers to check it out and they ALL thought it was a scam. Of those 124 roofers, 34 of of them were “hot” leads: roofers that were very interested and fit exactly what the company was looking for. Not even one of those roofers joined their program.

If you're a telemarketer, you seriously need not to waste your time because both Stuart and Andrew will lie to you non-stop. Not only was I repeatedly told that I had several leads that were “very close to signing up”, I was also told they had TWO full-time closers to talk to my leads. Turns out, half the leads were never followed up with.

On top of that, Stuart has this “new” solar technology he's also trying to peddle and told me I could call for that too.  For 6 weeks I was told, “You're going to start calling for that next week.” So, I put off getting another job because I thought I'd be calling for that too. After wasting 6 weeks waiting, I was told, “We don't think telemarketing will be good for this.”

My guess is, they knew that from the start and strung me along so I'd keep getting roofing leads for them (I was working straight commission). The reason for that is at the end of everything when I complained to Andrew about all the blatant lies and not making any money he actually told me, “When Stuart starts a new company, he likes to have people work for free to work all the bugs out and figure out what he needs to change.”

Word-for-word.

There isn't an ethical person alive that uses people like that......especially when they know they are desperate for cash and working their butts off for you.

Stuart does it repeatedly as he has 5 or 6 businesses.

So, again, if you're a salesman, you'd be a complete moron to waste your time working for these guys (Andrew also told me the company hadn't signed up a single solar client after working it for 2 months) as Stuart will lie to you every single time he talks to you.

And if you're a roofer, I had 124 roofers check out their program and not one of them thought it was any good. If you have time to waste checking it out, go for it but I'm guessing you'll be like the other roofers. Plus, I'm guessing most of you have ethics and only want to work with people that aren't liars and take advantage of their workers.

Stuart's personal contact info is [email protected] and (((REDATED)))

Andrew's is [email protected] and (((REDACTED)))

Well, I can't work for free. I worked over 2 months and generated over 100 leads of roofers who said they were interested in this, including about 2 dozen who were "very" interested. And Stuart told me week after week after week after week after week they were "very close" to signing up. None ever did (or so he told me....which I'll bet is a lie). It's great that you had another income to pay your bills and buy your food.  I didn't.

Stuart lied to me repeatedly about the status of my leads so that I'd generate more for him. You also prove my point when I said that Stuart loves to use people like me.....for FREE....to "work out the kinks in his system" as his OWN SALES MANAGER AND FRIEND told me he did. Stuart also lied when he offered to pay me a "settlement" for the work I did and then backed out on it claiming this report "ruined his business."  You just admitted it didn't "ruin" it and all and is doing very well. So, thanks.

He's a con man who has no soul when it comes to "grunts" like me.  If he had one speck of the honor you claim he does, he'd pay me that "settlement" he offered. We all know I'll never see a dime of it.

I am an Independent Contractor Working with My Free Repairs, LLC

I would like to distill this complaint down to its true essence. It is literally impossible for a roofing contractor to get ripped off by My Free Repairs, LLC.

  1. The contractor pays nothing to join with My Free Repairs, LLC
  2. My Free Repairs does all of the paperwork and negotiations with the insurance company to get a free roof (minus deductible) for the homeowner with as little as a couple of shingles missing
  3. Once the job is insurance approved homeowner receives a check from the insurance company
  4. Homeowner then pays the contractor
  5. Contractor then does the roofing job
  6. Once job is completed, My Free Repairs finally gets paid.

Therefore, My Free Repairs, LLC is working for free until an insurance job is completed. That is the main reason they are very selective in choosing which companies to work with.

Finally, I have been working with My Free Repairs as an independent contractor for a year now and could not be happier. Stuart Graham always calls me whenever they get a lead into their office to be sure I have not talked with them first. This is not the trait of a dishonest company or owner.

I now have 12 contractors signed up and more on the way. Plus the list is growing Nationwide for happy homeowners who are no longer being taken advantage of by their insurance companies. Oh, and the roofing contractors are increasing their bottom lines. This is a win|win for everyone.

I don’t need to say anything about the disgruntled ex salesperson except that he quit way too soon.  His loss!

One last very important detail would have to be that it took me over 10 times the number of contacts he talked to before I signed up my first contractor, who is still working with My Free Repairs, LLC’s. He is also contemplating opening a 2nd office because of the huge increase in business since he joined.

After I first filed this report, Stuart offered me a $2,000 setttlement for all the work I put in.

After he found out this report couldn't be taken down, he said that settlement offer was no longer any good because that report would "ruin his business."

You just admitted that wasn't true because you signed up 6 roofers.....and will get more.

So, if Stuart is as honest as you claim, he'd pay me that 2 grand for all the work I did.

If he pays it to me, I will come here in 5 minutes and say he lived up to his word.

If he doesn't, then I want to thank you for proving I was right this entire time that he's a con man who lies to people like me to get them to work for free while he "works the bugs out" so then he can then have his friends actually make money with him.

You have 6 roofing companies signed up?

So, you're pitching this to roofing companies?

Curious as to how you got the leads.

I guess I have to call all my old ones to see if your leads were generated by me and Stuart screwed me out of my commission.

I gave him over 150 roofing companies that were interested, including dozens that were VERY interested, and he said not a single one of them signed up.

I thought his system sounded great.....which is why I put so much time into generating leads for him.  My problem was he lied to me saying he had a full-time closer calling those leads.....when he didn't....and that several of them were close to signing up.....when none were.

My other beef was that his sales manager actually told me Stuart has people like me work for free to "work the bugs out"......so it sounds like you/he has "worked the bugs out" and are now making money with it.

All on my back.

More Roofers Have Signed up

#6General Comment

Tue, May 09, 2017

I now have 6 roofing companies signed up and more on the horizon. Stuart Graham has been stellar to work with. They have a one of a kind system which costs nothing to get involved with. In fact, My Free Repairs, LLC is the last to get paid in any insurance roofing claim. The homeowner gets paid by the insurance company, who then pays the roofing company. Once the roof has been 100% completed, the roofing company then pays My Free Repairs, LLC and then I get paid. This is a WIN|WIN|WIN for all involved. I am the very last to get paid and I am thrilled to be working with this Company! Enough said :-)

My last word on this

When I put up this report, he offered me $2,000 as a “settlement” because he knew he had screwed me over. I'm probably the first person to call him out instead of “just taking it” like you think I should. It was only after he found out I couldn't take down my report that he started throwing out threats of suing me for defamation and that I was trying to “extort” him and he was going to notify the FBI.

I literally laughed at him for that because he was the one to offer me a settlement and told him I welcomed to have both of his lawyers and the FBI contact me so we could get everyone under oath. Of course, it was an empty threat on his part because the LAST thing he wanted was all his employees risking perjury to defend him (and that especially includes the former-closer in Arizona who he zero control over). I also have email records of the leads I sent in and most of the conversations I had with him and his people.

You and he are exactly what's wrong with this country because you view your workers as throw-aways you can use and then when they complain about getting ripped off, you label them as “disgruntled” as that is supposed to discredit them in some way.

I guarantee you any worker reading this who has been ripped off before, and most have if they've been in the industry for any length of time, will be offended at your “you're just disgruntled and need to move on” slam as being very offensive. In fact, you made my point for me that you guys are the last people anyone should work for if they expect to get paid and treated well.

Thanks.

It's a wonder there are any collection agencies in this country as, according to your beliefs, anyone who is owed money for anything is “disgruntled and should stop living in the past.” I wonder if you'd hold that view if you didn't get paid for your roofing jobs.....or anything you paid for but didn't get.

My guess is no. You'd hound the insurance companies for payment and if they told you, “Don't be so disgruntled and stop living in the past” you'd be extremely upset instead of just shrugging your shoulders. Talk about hypocrisy.

Instead of filing for bankruptcy, people should use your rules and say to their creditors, “Stop being disgruntled you're owed money and living in the past” and hang up on them.

I bet you're both huge fans of Trump. He has LOTS of people he has screwed over the years by not paying for services provided to him even though they did exactly what he wanted. Your arrogance and disregard for people who work for you is disturbing.

And sad.

Heck, just this last week he got rid of a regulation that protected workers from wage theft.......bet you guys did cartwheels over that.

Lastly, I heard a quote the other day I really liked and made me think of your buddy: “How you treat people, especially those that can do nothing for you, says everything about you as a person.” I actually did something for your “honest friend” and he lied to me repeatedly. That, and the fact you both think I'm “disgruntled”, as to “toss me aside”, and I should “get over it” says everything about the both of you.

Pathetic. So thankful I had parents that raised me better than yours did with you.

1)  It's odd how you ripped me for "living in the past" when I filed this report as it happened.  I only responded to your BS after you tried to discredit me.  Unlike you and your "honest friend/business partner", I don't just care about myself and want to warn others before they waste their time working for him.  And, again, I put up this report right after I found out I had been scammed by him.  Nothing to do with "living in the past."

2)  You say you have proof you made some money with his system.  Well, I also have proof of the 100+ leads I sent in to him of roofers that checked this out......and the DOZENS that were VERY interested.....and not a SINGLE one signed up.

At least I was told they didn't.  Maybe they did and he didn't pay me.

I also have emails from their "sales closer" saying these guys were jokes and liars.

Just as I have emails telling me deals were "very close to buying" when those also turned out to be lies.

He just strung me along so I'd work for free so he could "work the bugs out".....and his sales manager flat-out admitted that to me.  I'd love nothing more than to get him under oath on that.

So, while YOU may have made money, I certainly didn't......because I was lied to non-stop and he actually planned it that way from the very start because he did it with his other companies too.

It's very telling you also think us "lowly telemarketers" should "get over it and don't live in the past" when ripped off.

If this system is so awesome,

#9Author of original report

it sure is odd that none of the dozens upon dozens upon dozens of VERY interested leads I turned in signed up with his program.  Not a single one.

Kind of peculiar it took you this long to say how "awesome" his program is and how "honest" he is.

And my guess is you'd be "disgruntled" too if you were fed non-stop lies and worked for nothing and then at the end you were told, "He likes to have people work for free while he tests out new business ideas."

You're a flat out liar if you say you wouldn't be.

And you can whine all you want about "disparging" him but I told 100% the truth.  And he knows it....which is why he never sued me like he threatened for "defamation" or have the FBI come after me for "extortion."

In fact, I asked him to after he threatened it.  He knows he'd lose.

Disgruntled Telemarketer Syndrome

Contractors who are reading this and recognize what I have said herein know that they can receive copies of completed jobs from me as proof of the validity of My Free Repairs, LLC's true character. This disgruntled ex-telemarketer really needs to do some inner work and find something that makes him happy. Living in the past and dispariging others is not the path to a better life. As a businessman and entrepreneur I stand by my statements 100%. I have never doubted the honesty of Mr. Graham or his company. It has been proven to me in dollars and sense. Aloha!

It's odd that this rebuttal showed up today because I was actually thinking of putting up a follow-up to my original report over the weekend.

When I filed the original report, Stuart's manager called me with all kinds of threats.  Said they were going to sue me for defamation and have the FBI come after me for extortion.

Of course, neither happened.

I'm sure his lawyer told him he had no case and I doubt he ever called the FBI for the same reason and if he did, they laughed in his face.  Everything I said was 100% true.  My follow-up was going to state I never heard from his lawyers or FBI like he threatened me with because what I said were all facts.

This friend of Stuart's can praise him all he wants.

What I said in my report is the truth.  Either none of the 150 or so roofers I turned in that looked at his opportunity thought it was a good deal or some did sign up and Stuart didn't pay me.  If any roofers did sign up, after all this time, a moral person would still pay the person that generated the lead.

This guy can "vouch" for Stuart all he wants, but so did the manager that hired me who heaped all kinds of praise on Stuart (they've known each other for years) before I worked for him, and during, only to tell me at the end that Stuart has a reputation for using people for free while he "works the kinks out" of his new businesses instead of paying people for their time.

To me, that person is a complete scumbag and I'd never do business with him.....as an employee or roofer....because I was raised to respect other people instead of using them.  Clearly, Stuart was never taught to respect others and thinks they should work for free while he "fine tunes his business plan."

I have had a great experience with My Free Repairs, LLC

#12Consumer Comment

Mon, February 27, 2017

I am an independent contractor doing work for My Free Repairs, LLC based in Kapolei, Hawaii.

I have known Stuart Graham for several months and began sending him roofing contractor leads in Oct. of 2016. After talking with hundreds of contractors in all 49 States (excluding Hawaii as they already have contractors for this State) over those several months I finally had 2 contractors, one in Florida and one in North Carolina, sign up with My Free Repairs, LLC. in the first months of 2017. The Florida contractor was flown at My Free Repairs' expense to Hawaii for 3 days of training as advertised. The contractor was extremely pleased with how he was treated and the complete professionalism of the training. He is back to work in Florida and is already sending roofing jobs to My Free Repairs, LLC. The North Carolina contractor signed up with a new program they have of zero down payment and is starting his training from his office in North Carolina. He should be sending jobs to My Free Repairs, LLC within the next few weeks after he is fully trained.

I have been paid for both these leads I sent to My Free Repairs, LLC and could not be happier.

I am 70 years old and have owned 2 Real Estate companies in the past so I know a few things about running a business, marketing and sales. Asking for money from a complete stranger is not an easy task. A level of trust must be established over time with many calls and questions asked and answered. My Free Repairs, LLC will also send any prospective contractor copies of past completed insurance jobs for them to download and peruse. This confirms their high degree of success with their system. Contractors who are tired of insurance companies taking advantage of them would be very well served to at least talk with My Free Repairs, LLC.

I recommend this company to any roofing or general contractor who is serious about taking thier business to the next level.

Thank you.

My follow-up

Update:

The day after I posted this, I got a call from Andrew. He kept telling me how “screwed” he was now and, “I have a wife and kids.” I wondered why any of that should matter to me since neither he nor Stuart cared that I was lied to repeatedly for 7 weeks and I told them how broke I was and needed to make money.

I also told them both about 3 weeks ago I was going to report them and was met with dead silence. So, they only cared after I exposed their lies to me.

The next day (today), Andrew told me they'd like to offer a settlement and if they did, I'd take down this report. Andrew was cool about it on the phone but Stuart emailed me saying if I didn't do it, he was going to take legal action against me for defamation.

My response: Bring it on.

Did they sign up any of the 124 leads (including 34 “hot” leads) that I turned in (it's now been 3 entire months since I started turning in those leads)? If the answer is no, then my warning to both roofers and workers stands. If you're a roofer, you're probably wasting your time checking this out because all those other roofers did their due diligence and thought it wasn't worth their time or money.

And if you're a worker, you really don't want to waste your time because in 3 months and lots of great leads, they didn't close a single roofer. Where, exactly, is the “defamation”?

If they DID sign up anybody, well, then they lied to me and ripped me off the commission. So, I have absolutely zero to fear when it comes to a lawsuit for defamation.

Does his “unique roofing system” actually work? I have no idea. All those roofers who checked it out weren't impressed. You would have thought after three months and over 100 leads at least one of them would have said, “This is awesome. Let's do it.” And both guys lied to me repeatedly so it's up to anyone reading this to form their own opinion whether to believe what they claim or not.

Also, if I'm sued for defamation, I would subpoena a guy that they hired to help close deals (this was the “second full time closer” they told me they hired). He quit after about two weeks working for them and said these guys had a “Mickey Mouse organization” (exact quote) and he couldn't believe how unorganized they were. He also told me that half of the leads I turned in had never been called by their “full time closer” (after I worked for 2 weeks, Stuart told me he hired a full time closer to work all the leads I was generating and that 6 deals were “very close” to signing up) and when I asked how many were close to buying, he said zero.

Both Andrew and Stuart told me I had several that were “very close to buying” up until I quit making calls and that's how they kept me calling to get leads so they could “work out the kinks”......by lying to me. Andrew told me at the end of 7 weeks that Stuart likes to have people “work for free while he figures his new business out.” And that's how he does it. By lying his butt off that “deals are very close” so you stay on the phone getting more leads for them.

So, if I get sued by Stuart, they all get to go under oath, including the guy they hired as a closer, to say exactly what was said. Will Stuart and Andrew lie under oath? Maybe. That other guy won't. Stuart's other employees will also have to go under oath to see how many leads were called and I'll get to see all their notes about how many were “very close” to signing up. I bet even the roofers themselves will be contacted by my lawyer to see what kind of interaction they had with the company after I turned their lead in. Did anyone follow-up with them like I was told? Were any of them “very close to signing up?” I have all their names and numbers (Here's a tidbit: I started calling for a different company to sell ads and contacted a few of the leads I turned in to see if they wanted to buy an ad. When I asked what they thought about this roofing system, both told me nobody followed up with them. So, I was lied to when told “All your leads are being contacted.”)

One thing I forgot to mention is Andrew and Stuart have been best friends for 18 years. And each time I talked to Andrew about no sales coming in, he told me, “Stuart is the most honest person I know. He'll never screw you.” Not once did he tell me, “Stuart likes to have people work for free while he works the bugs out” like he told me after I called for 7 weeks.

I've been in sales/management over 30 years and have met some of the best leaders out there and/or read their books, including Zig Ziglar and Think and Grow Rich. One of their number one lessons is, “Take care of your people first.” I had many great bosses over the years say, “Before I do anything, I pay my salespeople first because without them, the company goes under.”

While Andrew and I were dead broke working our butts off for Stuart, he took his family on a 2 week vacation. Any caring businessman would have said, “I'd be too embarrassed to go on a vacation while my hardest workers are wondering how they're going to pay rent” and canceled it and paid his people for their dedication and work they did. I know I'd never be able to enjoy a vacation knowing people that worked hard for me didn't know how they were going to pay rent.

After I wrote all that, I got another call from Andrew. There was no settlement. He said, “I've talked to lawyers for over an hour and we're going to sue you for defamation. We're also going to the FBI to turn you in for extortion because you demanded money for not posting this report.”

Two things:

First, as I said above, where is the “defamation”? Did they sign up any of the roofer leads I turned in? If not, then everything I stated is 100% true. If you're a worker, you're an idiot for wasting your time working for them because nothing closes and you'll work for free. Three months and no closed deals? What worker can afford to do that? And if you're a roofer, you're probably wasting your time checking them out because over 100 other roofers did and none of them thought it was worth doing.

I asked Andrew 3 times, “Where is the defamation if no one signed up?” and he had no answer and said, “Well, that's what the lawyers say.” Yeah, they just want to bill him for the hours.

No defamation at all. And, if any roofers did sign up, then I was lied to and not paid commission. Point out the “defamation” and I'll correct the record.

As far as “extortion”, I never once said, “Give me money or I'm going to report you.” Ever. Period. And it was Andrew who called me up today (he actually left me 2 messages yesterday) saying, “If we offer you a settlement, will you take this down?” I never once......not once....said, “Give me money and I'll take it down.” Ever. I told them I'd agree to THEIR settlement offer.

So, just more lies from these guys and bullying.

My guess is the entire offer of their “settlement” was to try to say I demanded money.....which is a complete lie because they are the ones that brought it up. Not me. There is no email from me saying, “Pay me or I'm going to report you” and phone records will show I hadn't talked to them in awhile. And if I DID try to extort money a few weeks back the last time we talked, they would have had their lawyers on me in a SECOND. So, it never happened.

So, we'll see if the FBI knocks on my door and/or if I get sued for “defamation.” I told Andrew I was going to put up everything that happened since we talked yesterday and he said, “Don't do that.” I told him I wanted all of this on the record in case I do get sued and/or the FBI knocks on my door and he said, “Wait. Let me get back to you before you do anything.” He just called me again, about an hour later, and said, “I promised you I'd call back and I am. The lawyers are going to do their thing.” I asked once again how it was defamation if no sales came thru and he said he didn't want to argue about it.

I told him I didn't either and just wanted to know where the defamation was. If there was any, I'd correct the record. If no sales came in, then all I was doing (or tried to do) is tell both roofers and workers they shouldn't waste their time. He said, again, it was up to the lawyers now.

Part of me thinks I was being recorded. In my gut, I think their whole “settlement” deal was a scam to then come back at me for “extortion” since they know everything I said was the truth. For the umpeenth time, where is the “defamation” if no roofers signed up?

I'm more than willing to take a lie detector test on the stuff they told me (like after 7 weeks saying Stuart likes to use people for free while he tests his new business ideas)......are both of them? Bring it on. I don't care if the tests are admissible or not. I'm more than willing to take one.

And, I told a friend about this and he said he's ready to go to the TV stations to report their threats of lawsuits and the FBI and even start a Go Fund Me page for my legal defense if it comes to that.

I have to add that Andrew did apologize to me a few times that it all came to this and was very sorry that it didn't work out and I do believe he was very sincere. Completely. I don't think he was lying at all when he said that. Do I think he intentionally set out to screw me? No. Not for one second do I believe that. His communication could/should have been MUCH better from the start and I think he now realizes that.

I'd actually give Andrew a second chance and do another project with him as I don't think he purposely lied to me. He has a good heart.

Do I think Stuart set out to screw me from the start? No. I do, though, think he's a liar. I don't think there were any deals ever that were “very close to signing” like I was told repeatedly and I think I was told that so I'd keep calling. If any had closed, I think I would have been paid.

Would I call these guys “scam artists”? No. Just not completely honest with people. I think Stuart “has no soul” for using people for free to test his business ideas and doesn't care one single bit that people are broke while doing that for him. Good businessman? Maybe. Caring human? Not at all. If he wants to sue me for that opinion, go for it. I honestly don't think Stuart feels bad about this even a little. Zero. Nada. Zilch. I think, to him, using others like he does is just “part of doing business” and he'd do it again without hesitation.

And if anybody is going to get sued for “defamation”, it will be him the second I get charged with extortion. Never happened. And he knows it.   If I was "extorting him", why would he threaten to sue me if I didn't take his deal?  Talk about destroying your own talking point......

All of this would have been avoided if they had been honest upfront and/or given me an apology after no sales came in. Instead, dead silence from Stuart. I wasn't looking for any “settlement”, which is why I didn't ask for one. I did it mostly to warn my fellow telemarketers that if they have bills to pay, especially urgent ones, find something else that will put cash in your pocket faster.

My hope with this entire report was to warn people yes, roofers (but they know if this is real or not after checking it out) but mostly workers. There are all kinds of scams on the internet and if you NEED money, people should be warned this isn't the place to work if you need bills paid right away.

I just re-read my report and realized I should have worded a few things differently.

To say they are “complete con men” was too strong. Did they both lie (or mislead) to me? Yes. “Complete con men”? That's over the top and wrong.

To say, “124 roofers checked it out and ALL thought it was a scam” is not true. I don't know why they all turned it down. Most of them were never followed-up with properly, some didn't think it was worth 25 grand (or have 25 grand to invest) and some thought it was “too good to be true” or whatever. Doesn't mean it's a “scam.”

So, I regret that comment. Heat of the moment.

The rest of it, I stand by. I was told repeatedly I had deals “very close” when that was a lie and that not a single of 124 leads I gave them signed up. Also told all my leads were being worked and that was also a lie. And Andrew told me after 7 weeks, “Stuart likes to use people for free while he tests new businesses ideas.” That is 100% the truth. Some people will applaud him for doing business that way, others find it appalling.

So, to both roofers and workers, make up your own mind if this is worth your time checking out based on 124 roofers not thinking it was worth 25 grand plus a percentage of profit (or using your own research). I have to say, when I told Stuart I thought 25 grand was a lot to invest, he said, “25 grand is nothing to these roofers. In fact, we should be charging more or they wouldn't take us seriously if we charged less for it.”
