EDITOR’S COMMENT:  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior.

Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration Program In re: (((REDACTED))), Complainant, v. Rip Johnson, Author. Rip-Off Report No.: 699646 ARBITRATOR DECISION Bruce Meyerson Arbitrator Complainant, (((REDACTED))), has challenged the truthfulness of certain Statements (each a Statement) posted by Author Rip Johnson on the Ripoff Report website at www.ripoffreport.com on February 24, 2011, as Ripoff Report No. 699646 (the Report). Both the Complainant and the Author (together, the Parties) have agreed to submit the dispute to the Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration. In response to the posting, Complainant has submitted a signed declaration with accompanying documentation and additional declarations by others. In addition to challenging the Statements made by the Author, the Complainant is also challenging the status or role of the Author. The Complainant states that he never heard of anyone with the name Rip Johnson and believes that the person who submitted the posting is a disgruntled former business associate. The Author has not disputed this assertion. Each Statement challenged by the Complainant has been considered, together with any Witness Statements and Documents provided by the Complainant and the Author, for determination of the truth or falsity of the Statement. I have been asked to decide whether the preponderance of the evidence submitted establishes that each Statement is true or that it is false. The Author has provided no documentation to support any of the Statements. If the Statement identified by the Complainant is determined to be an opinion, no decision will be made as to its truth or falsity because an opinion cannot be verified as true or false. Each challenged Statement submitted by the Author is set forth below together with the Response by the Complainant, my comments and decision: 1. Authors Statement: (((REDACTED))) is a con-artist thief who lies to people to their face to make money and sleep with women and men. Complainants Response: I am not a con-artist. I do not lie to peoples faces to make money. I do not lie to women to sleep with them. I do not lie to men to sleep with them. I do not sleep with men. Discussion: This Statement is in the nature of an opinion. Accordingly, under the Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration Rules no Decision shall be made. 2. Authors Statement:(((REDACTED))). gets companies like Two In The Shirt aka t**s clothing to send free T-Shirts to his house claiming they are for celebrities and the takes the product to Fashion Square mall Metro Park and exchanges them for lower value product to get the money back or store credit. Complainants Response: As part of my prior work for Dirty World, LLC, Dirty World, LLC used my home address to receive product that it was fully entitled to receive under its agreement with the t-shirt company t**s. t**s partially paid Dirty World for an advertisement with t-shirts because it could not afford to pay for an advertisement on Dirty Worlds website. These shirts were not exchanged for money at local stores; instead, as a Dirty World employee/independent contractor, I give the shirts to employees of the company. It may be that some Dirty World employees exchanged the shirts at local stores for a different size t-shirt, but I did not exchange these shirts for money. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find the Authors Statement false. 3. Authors Statement: (((REDACTED))) also claims to be a magazine mogul. Complainants Response: I never claimed to be a magazine mogul. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find this Statement false. 4. Authors Statement: (((REDACTED))) ripped off 25 Arizona based companies giving them an advertisement in a magazine called Elite Guide which only had one issue. Complainants Response: The Elite Guide never ripped anyone off. Contrary to the Statements in the post, the magazine was in business for over 3 years, not just 1 issue. The magazine printed 25,000 magazines per print, not 5,000 as alleged. I did not rip off 25 clients. We have never been accused by a client nor sued by a client. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find this Statement false. 5. Authors Statement: (((REDACTED))). claimed to print 50,000 copies and lied only printing 5,000. Complainants Response: The Elite Guide printed 25,000 magazines per printnot 5,000. I have never claimed to have printed 50,000 magazines per print. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find this Statement false. 6. Authors Statement: I know because (((REDACTED))). paid me to falsify the documents. Complainants Response: I have never paid anyone to falsify documents. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find this Statement false. 7. Authors Statement: (((REDACTED))) uses his family name to steal people money. [sic] Complainants Response: I do not use my family name to steal money. Discussion: The Author has submitted no proof to support this Statement. The Complainant has denied the truthfulness of the Statement and has provided evidence to support the denial. The Author had the opportunity to respond to the challenge to the Report, but did not do so. Decision: Based upon the evidence in the record I find this Statement false.
