I am a photographer and on 1/3/19 I applied for a job listing on Glassdoor.com to listing a company identified as Nani Photography. On 1/7/19 I received the first email. After numerous odd exchanges from Nani Photography, I knew something was off. I attempted to get information from Nani Photography regarding the listed photo shoot and things were not adding up. Red Flag #1: I was to take my first days pay of a three day shoot for $1300 (that is in fact a standard fee for a catalog photo shoot) and was to forward the remaining amount to an "agent." The shoot was to take place in Houston, TX on 1/21/19.
Given the odd content of the emails, I never accepted the work but the emails from Nani Photography continued. Red Flag #2: Nani Photography mailed me a Cashier's Check in the amount of $7,500.00 via USPS Priority Mail Express which I received at my home address on 1/9/2019. I emailed Nani Photography to inform them that despite them sending a Casher's Check, I was not accepting the job. The individual informed me via email to shred the Cashier's Check, which I did not do.
On 1/10/19 I called ORNL Federal Credit Union to verify the validity of the check and was informed by customer care that the check was indeed fraudulent. I did NOT attempt to cash this Cashier's Check, I only wanted to verify the validity.
I have maintained all emails, text messages as well as the USPS Priority Mail Express envelope from this individual.

I would be interested in seeing those emails between "Nani Photography" and yourself. I am the real owner, and I have never posted anything on Glassdoor.com, nor any other job type sites.
This is clearly a scammer spoofing my information.
