As in any business endeavor you should do your due diligence. I recommend you never take any business opportunity at face value. Make sure you talk to other companies offering the same opportunity. In this market today there are many different companies doing the same thing as NAA and doing it in a way that benifits the producer for their effort much more. The things you need to consider.
1. Are leads exclusive?
2. Does the company recruit more agents in your area even though leads are not available?
3. What does the business environment of the company require you do to be in their good graces ie: attend useless conferences for inflated prices where you are bombarded with messages to buy this and buy that also at inflated prices. Extremely unnecessary and intimidating to the average person, however makes some good $$ for the company.
4. Commissions..do not I repeat do not accept any thing less than 80% for starting commissions with reasonable ability to go to 100%. 55% is not realistic at all don't do it. As in any business you need to take responsibility for your I repeat your business. Do not settle for the fist high pressure group offering you riches. Understand it for what it is... something that needs to be researched. NAA is great for a few but a bad deal for the majority. There are better deals out there. Go out and find them
