I personally am not a victim of this so-called dealership, but my girlfriend is a victim. She purchased a vehicle from this so-called dealership and within a couple of weeks discovered that the vehicle was having transmission problems. She informed NAS about the problem and they sent her to their mechanic, who tells her that the transmission if fine and that the vehicles transmission on these vehicles (02 Mountaineer) always revs high and hesitates before changing gears. Long story short, they did not attempt to remedy the problem even after she told them that she was not satisfied with the vehicle and now she needs a new transmission after one year.

You drove the car for a year?

National was very helpful for me when I had a vehicle that I just purchased from them. I had some problems within the first few weeks and they went out of there way to help me and even paid for the repair which they did not have to. You drove a used vehicle for a year and yet you want them to be responsible for it? I don't get it. Just because they sold you the vehicle doesn't mean they repair the vehicle for you every time it breaks down. They have no idea how you drove the car or how you maintained it. Why would they be responsible after one year. I know several people that have bought cars and they have no problem helping you out within the first 30 days or so but after a year-come on-you have to take some responsibility. Take it up with Mercury if you have that much of an issue-they built the car. I just never got people who think when they buy a car it's just going to run and run without any problems. They do break down. That's why there is mechanic shops at every corner because cars just don't run forever. Be nice if they did but that's just not reality.
