In May of 2003, we entered in the NCRC Det management program. Afetr the initial 90 day "reaging" period, we were still having issues with our creditors even though they said we were enrolled in the program. NCRC kept telling us to be patient, it takes time to work out.

Wanting to get our debt cleared up quickly, we began to make double payments to NCRC. Everything seemed to be fine except for one card which was always slow to posting a payment. NCRC told us that that company was notoriously slow.

Once we made our final payment, we discovered that NCRC never sent off an earlier payment. When we called them, we got the run around for six months. At this time we requested our set-up fee returned. We were told that this issue needed to be finalized first. When we finally threatened action, they said we needed to get documentation from the credit card company. Due to the fact that we had cancelled this card, we had to pay to get documentation.

Once we received all the documentation, we sent it to NCRC, but they had disappeared! We were forced to make the extra payment to our creditor along with interest and penalties and we lost our set-up fee.

NCRC owes us over $2200 not included interest and time invested in the "search" for NCRC. If anyone has any suggestions on any possible recourse...we are very interested in taking action.
