I too worked for National Home Trainers since June. I received one paycheck on time and rest were all rubber checks. When I called, they told me they were "changing out their payroll system". This went on for a couple of months with new checks arriving and all of them bouncing. This has been going on since August. They now owe me over $800.00 (Funny how "casual" Christy Lee acted when I would call her about the bounced checks),

When this started in June, I already knew about the Texas Wage Law, so I was ready to file a claim. (Which I have already done - let's see if I get anything). You might wonder why I stayed with them so long when the writing was on the wall? I enjoy my work very much. It almost doesn't feel like work. And my clients were awesome people. And I was really hoping they were being straight with me and that this a temporary problem.

But now is the time for action. My question is this - Isn't there some banking laws that proscecute people for repeatedly writing checks where they know that there is no money in the account? One bounced check is an innocent mistake. But repeated NSF checks begin to look very much like they were trying to hang paper.

Additionally, they sent these checks by U.S. mail. Usually if you use the US Postal System to perpetrate a fraud, isn't that mail fraud?

If someone out there is a lawyer or can get answers to these questions, I would be very interested.

We can all complain about what scum these people are. But I just want to get my money and make sure that they can't go off and do this again.
