I contracted with National Moving Network to pickup my belongings in Oregon on November 1, 2001, they called and asked if the date could be changed to the 9th or 10th. I agreed to November 10, 2001. The 10th approached and no phone call, and every time I called, no one returned my call.

The driver called at 10:30am and said he would be their at 6:30pm. They never showed, instead called and said they couldn't make it until the 11th. They didn't show that day either. I called and called and got no respond.

Finally they called the evening of the 12th and said they would be their the next morning between 10am and noon on the 13th. On the 13th when 10:30am rolled around and I still had not heard from the driver, I called his cell phone. The driver said he had just woke up and would grab breakfast and be right over. They finally showed up at 5pm that evening.

It took them almost a hour just to park the truck, because they did not know how to back it up into a storage parking lot. The company that actually picked up my belongings was AY Transport, which is something that National Moving Network Neglected to tell me. After my belongings were loaded, they informed me about a price increase of $326. National Moving Network informed me my belongings would be delivered in 3-5 days after they were picked up in Oregon, AJ Trucking told me it would take 5-7 days for delivery.

We are now on the 9th day. I have called dispatch once again to find out where my belongings are and I was given the number for the driver. When I called him, he told me he had dropped my things and their warehouse and didn't know where they currently were. I called dispatch back and told them this and they asked me what warehouse the driver dropped them at(good company, huh). Dispatch hungup with me and called back a hour later to tell me it will be a additional 6-7 days before my belongings arrive.

A simple move from Oregon to Texas, that should have cost me $1,320 is now going to cost me over $2,200. This includes 4 days lost wages, the increase in prices, all the long distant phone calls I have had to make.

The information for AY Transport is 530 N. 8th Street San Jose, CA 95112 (408) 973-1433

I had a positive experience with AY Moving

I was recommended to National Moving Network by a local Chicago moving company. I didn't do any checking on them until after I had signed up with them, and after reading the horror stories I was more than alarmed. I really expected the worst. They just completed the move today, they were behind schedule a day both picking up and delivering, but I got my items within a week and they did not unfairly charge me additional money. They were very poite, exceptionally careful, and all my items were there. As the only information on the internet on AY Moving seems to be negative, I wanted to post my experience. My drivers name was Daniel, he was from Mexico, and he was soft-spoken, professional, and extremely polite.

To say that there are some Israeli movers who are dishonest is not to say that all Israeli movers are or even that most are. The fact remains that there are several Israeli moving companies interconnected and defrauding the public. This was reported to me from the FBI who are investigating these movers. Take the racism issue up with the FBI and the DOT and the police departments who are investigating the cases. Don't just throw out some misguided "politically correct" accusations.

I agree that rasist comments shouldn't be made about anyone, however this is a true statement. I had to involve my friend who speaks Hebrew ...because I didn't understand them. He himself said that they are THE WORST.

i can assure you that there is no "israeli moving network" ..avoid racist statements

Also, i can assure you that there is no "israeli moving network" - better double check complaints if want to be taken serouisly. Regards, juli

These Israeli movers are also in New York and work with others all over the country. they go by different names and DOT numbers. I agree with the person above, you have to complain to the DOT and hope that something will be done. we have Congress to thank for this. in the mid 1990s they abolished the Interstate Commerce Commission that would have regulated
these businesses and now these fraudulent companies have mushroomed. it might also help to complain to the Immigration and Naturalization Service since many of these workers are probably illegal. Also, the IRS, since they seem to deal mostly in cash.

There is a network of fraudulent Israeli movers based in Florida and California

Rebuttal:
There is a network of fraudulent Israeli movers based in Florida and California. I had to get the police to confiscate my things and then pay another mover to finish the move. Contact the Department of Transportation and file an official complaint. It's the only way anything will get done.

Even then, you must sit back and wait. Or you can locate your stuff in whatever warehouse they have hidden it, and try to get the police involved.

Good luck.
